"Loves" and "Curious About" is not part of your profile?

I confess when window shopping, I often skip straight to "Hard Limits", but usually, I read both the profile and the blogs, definitely if I plan to PM you, although possibly not yours since I'm not into getting my balls squished, or even hearing about it. I like your eyes though.

In fact I Favorited a woman the other day for no other reason that I liked her blog.

I do read profiles, but usually the ones that I have met on the boards and would consider talking/bantering with.

I will read the profile of someone who I can discern actually "read" mine as well. Otherwise, I've gotten good at the DELETE and/or BLOCK buttons.

I tend to read profiles if something they either say in forums catches my eye or their picture. On the picture part, what can I say other than I'm a guy, I'm visual. Even at this moment, I looked at several, including Miss DianeB's and after seeing a couple pics, I knew I had seen her videos before. Then just read the rest of the profile. As for sending emails I won't bother unless there is something that interests me. Usually that is some toy or something like that, since normally I read in the Gear and Apparel section cause making them can be as much fun as using them. Well not always, lol

I read profiles and hope that others read mine, though many don't I believe. I think that even those that do read profiles, don't really read them.

You have different types:

1. Some read profiles and respond based on the specific information.
2. Some use the shotgun approach, emailing everybody and then only reading the profiles of those who respond
3. Some are just after some online giggles.

People reveal their character quickly enough

So, you can see how some people might become fatigued with putting some effort into a message with little to no return. Courtesy is a rare thing, now-a-days. I understand that ladies are inundated on sites like this but when one comes across a message that has obviously taken even a modicum of thought and time, perhaps an equally measured response is called for.


I have found that both online with the first email and up to after a first coffee-type meeting, if there isnt a love match, they just dont want to just email or chat/discuss issues or be friends.. so I have given up on that, just accept it as part of the way things are.. but thats what the forums are for, or as close as it can be.. just here you cant control who responds to yer posts.. [:D]

It would really be nice if people would check out the profiles more, Because I am in the middle of freaking Wyomng and I keep getting women who live in Penn. Okay, wyoming is NOT just a valley, it's a whole freaking state. And read the profile, read the journal entries, get an idea of what I do, what lines I don't cross and what will get you sent home in a heartbeat. And, yes I know my name is lower case, it's because it's how I'm known every place i post, lifestyle or social network. But, what drives me nuts is, I'm 6' freakng 3" tall and looking for someone of a height that doesn't make me feel like a chester and I have these 5 foot nothing 90 pound nymphets wanting to be my new best friend.C'mon, I haven't dated someone that short since I was 12. It's enough to make one consider the ultimate perversion.....celibacy.

I look at profiles of people who post here, or those who message me. I might check out a profile if I learn they have great pussy pics (of their cats, you pervs).

They *scan* them. Even I don't bother reading the long ones or the walls of text of anything that starts out whiny or annoying.

Pics I look at; the choice of pics displayed often tells you far more about the person.

I know 99% who contacts me don't read my profile.
I know it when they start telling me their fantasies about anal related plays and how they would like to do it with me.

I mean..., I guess me hating anal is attracting anal loving doms.

I always read profiles, because a person's personality is important to me, and I think through their profile and their journals, you can get a grasp of what type of person they are and whether you might click.

Just maybe there is a silver lining in people sending you messages without reading all your profile. You get a true representation of their first impressions. I would think this is important don't you? As I am scanning profiles, as a man, I only look at profiles that attract my attention . Otherwise first impressions are just as important as profile content.

Your responses may show you that you may need to change some part of your profile such as primary photo or the first few sentences of your profile text. To me these are important and lure others to read further...Now if I only followed my own advice...[:D]

I dunno, Butch. My profile STARTS with I am not looking, then goes on to say that I am not a dominant or submissive and refuse to label myself. All of which is visible without having to view my full profile, and I am pretty sure you don't even have to scroll to see it!! LOL


Even so, I frequently get emails starting out with "So, what are you looking for?" LOL

I tend to click through profiles so I can read them, as well as look at pictures.

That being said, I have MANY people message me who haven't read my profile. The best ways for me to tell is when I get questions like

"How long have you been in the lifestyle?"... Answered on my first paragraph
"What are your limits?" ... Answered in the middle of my profile
"What is you experience being owned?" ... Answered on the second paragraph
"Are you owned?" ... Answered a few dozen times on my profile
"What are you looking for?" Answered towards the end of my profile


Now that being said, I'll read almost any profile that pops up on my screen, just to read them. I don't care if they are male, female, transgendered, Dominant, submissive, slave, Gay, Straight or Bi. I just enjoy reading profiles and looking into other people's lives to see what they think of this lifestyle, and sometimes I'll get hateful messages. One from a gay guy screaming at me "Why are you looking at my profile you illiterate cunt? I'm Gay! That means I don't want anything to do with you", and another from a "Male Dom" saying "y r u looking at me when ur only looking for woman." I responded with "I just like to read profiles" and he goes off saying "well your desterped me and i don like people desterping me" and he put me on ignore...

Apparently reading profiles is "Desterping" >.>
