Romney had an opportunity to come out today and admit that something happened in his campaign that he is not proud of, that he was unaware of it until it had already gone out (which I will be generous and assume to be true), but that it was inappropriate, and unfortunate, and that such a tragedy was not something over which either party should be trying to score points on. Apologies all round, and get back to things. He comes off looking like a star, in charge and owning responsibility for his campaign.
He did not do this.
I agree with what is shown above, but don't worry. In true Romney fashion he'll have about 24 hours of vagueness and be back at pretending he stands behind something he never said.
Far as the President goes, I don't fault him for telling a PRIVATE CITIZEN who set up a really bogus looking imitation of the press room at the white house in an effort to SEEM presidential, to Shut the fuck up and let the Pros handle it.
It isn't like he spent the whole day on it. And as a matter of fact, it LOOKS like he spent the entire rest of the day bringing all his assets into play.
