Obama can use the NDAA to essentially declare Martial Law in the USA. If Obama declares Martial Law he has vast powers which have been greatly expanded by Obama's Executive Order. If Obama were to declare Martial Law using any pretext, Obama's Executive Order gives his Administration power over all water resources, all material services and facilities, including construction materials, all forms of civilian transportation, food resources and facilities, livestock plant health resources and the domestic distribution of farm equipment, all health resources (hospitals, medicine, physicians, the blood supply), and all forms of energy This represents totalitarian control over the USA and would be triggered by any President (including a Republican) declaring Martial Law, at which point the US Military will be policing the Nation under orders of the Executive Branch. Since the GOP will, at some point have these powers, (probably after November 2012) its extremely difficult to understand how any US citizen would support this over reaching. Even if you trust Obama you should be aware that someone you do not trust will soon have these powers and they represent fascism and the ability to totally impose fascism on the USA. Both the NDAA and Executive Order are now courtesy of Obama. Martial Law can be declared in peacetime. Obama currently claims the right to indefinitely detain without trial as well as torture and he does so through the NDAA.

He seems to be forgetting many elderly and poor voters, who pay no taxes, also vote Republican. Add to this many are, make that were, undecided. Mitt has shot himself in the foot big time, I just watched a new report from the US which interviewed how people would vote. Romney didnt fare to well, one Republican interviewedsaid he was embarressed that Romney was standing for election.

I work every day of the week. I pay my bills...on time. I have no debt. I have my own health care insurance. I don't pay taxes but I didn't make the tax codes. Bush did and people have been clinging to them with a passion that means their life to them ever since. I used to pay FICA before that though. I have to say that while 47% of the working class doesn't pay taxes due to the tax codes which were supposed to be temporary, that also includes tax breaks and, of course, their requirements of not having to pay on unearned income. (Investments, stocks and so on). So the major ones paying their fair share of taxes are the upper income middle class. Besides...I would rather vote for a man who is for the whole country, not a man who only cares about 53% of it, and flip flops on a dime's notice. He says one thing and does another.
