And some voluptuous broads with aggressive personalities don't want limey women in their early twenties, but I all I can do is smile winningly. :p

It's a funny thing...women have no age limitations in my HibWorld.

OP, you have gone to great lengths to prove my point for me. I'm done with you.

I'm 43 and Psycho is 23.

I was looking for a younger man deliberately. I'm not sure if this is a particularly Scottish thing, but men here my own age are old, both in looks and outlook. I'm ridiculously young looking and pretty juvenile, too. So why would I settle when I can take my pick of pretty young things?

As it happens, Psycho is much younger than I would normally go for, but he won me over by being smart, funny and mature. Our values and goals match, as well as our kinks. I would have been pretty daft to turn such a perfect fit down just because of what it says on his birth certificate.

I've known plenty of 40 year old boys. And in my experience, it's a fallacy that older men are better lovers. I tend to find them quick off the mark and lacking in imagination. What younger men lack in experience they make up for in enthusiasm - and Psycho is a very quick and eager learner.

And this is some serious Scottish smarts.

Yup, smarts. We has them

Actually just as a counter point to what was previously stated by the wonderful woman that is WW, I was just looking for someone that shared the same values as myself (and interested in D/s type relationship.) So age wasn't really an issue, older or younger than myself. The important thing, for me at least, was that we could connect and with WomanlyWiles I'm happy to say we do

I'll also add that any guy that approaches me with the mouthbreathing, "I think older women are SO sexy" line doesn't have a chance.

Ouch,.....it’s not like it’s easy for a dumb jock like me to master this nose breathing thing all while trying to manage school, work and a social life.

When woman state no men under a certain age..I am just curious is it because of the actual age or the suspected maturity level of the individuals?

I apologize if this has already been said (I didn't feel like reading the 5 pages of replies), but most women find it creepy to have sex with a man who is younger than her children. Even self-described "cougars" seem to wrestle with that.

Also, if you're 20 years (or more) younger than a woman, it's very unlikely that you have more in common with her than men closer to her own age. Older men are also usually more advanced in their careers and more stable. They also have more shared experiences and similar frames of reference. For example, you just won't understand her references about the 60's and 70's. Hell, you've probably never heard of shows like "Laugh-In", "Carol Burnett", "Green Acres", or "Car 54" that she grew up watching. And you're probably equally unfamiliar with the music that she grew up listening to.

So the only advantage that you likely bring to the party is one that she can also get from her favorite dildo. And frankly, she probably enjoys her favorite dildo more than she'll enjoy you.

For the longest time I wanted to date men who were older than me, but that started to change last year. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with a teenager, but for some reason all the amazingly hot guys with compatible kinks that I can find are 24-26. I have to say though I can't help but laugh when I get a 19 year old approaching me because I'm a "mature older woman".

I prefer older men as we have more in common. I like to be able to have interesting and diverse conversation with my sub. Also I am a professional woman and like my partner to be the same. I have no shared interests with an 18yr old, I already have children don't need another. I am looking for a mature relationship with a man that encompasses vanilla and d/s elements. Therefore compatibility is the most important factor.

I prefer older men mainly because (in my experience at least)
a) they are less likely to be thinking primarily with their cocks
b) some have more to offer me mentally
c) they understand the responsibilities they have as Dominants/Masters/Owners
d) they are capable of immaturity even though they are essentially.
e) they are more likely to be able to fulfill the "father figure"/guiding hand role i need. (I didn't have one growing up)

There was some research a few years ago that said a woman's sexual peak was in her late thirties/mid-forties, while a man's was when her was nineteen or twenty. Sexually, they should be compatible at these ages, but that's all you can count on.

It's not worth dismissing anyone just because of their age (And having trained up a few much younger partners in the past, I know how much easier it is to teach someone who doesn't already feel that he's seen and done it all) but take each case as it comes rather than writing someone off because of a number.

Rick, your only solution to the "I think" is to go out and meet people. Do it, or don't. One way, you find out what you like, the other way you keep nattering on the internet to people who DO know what they like.

Taking your advice, I have been asking around about local events. As it turns out there will be an event coming up around next month in my area. As your advice made sense I am going to try to attend. It is right during midterms, but if I can make time for it I will, and am quite excited about possibly taking my next big step in my sub education.

See....even Rick can listen and learn

Anyway, I'm a bit nervous but excited at the same time.

Cheers

Rick

THank you so much! Sometimes it takes the advice given in a ragefit to motivate a guy into action. And yes, you make tonnes of sense.

Anyway, please cross your fingers for me (you know so that I don't do or say anything dumb the minute I get there)

You'll be fine, Rick. I am not worried about your social success in the slightest.
