ORIGINAL: evesgrden (That said, if your cat is aggressive, you need to deal with that, and that has nothing to do with d/s). My cats are all docile and loving and friendly. But I consider them dominant because they would never obey an order from me...., unlike a dog. They will only do something when they want to. My cats cannot be bribed by food too, and they choose who like or don't like. One of my cats who hated my x-husband from day one would rather starve than eat if my x-husband fed her. I wanted my x-husband to get into her favour and gave him her feeding duties, and she was practically starving herself and refusing to eat unless I did it. See that is totally dominance over me. I know maybe she will submit if I dragged out starving her for a week, but..., okay, did not have the heart to. 2 or 3 days with refusing to eat, she has no issues. And that's as far I was willing to test it. I have one cat that I got as a kitten who is 13 now and I have always been momma to her. Her idea of dominance is trying to snuggle with me all the time. The other one pretty much does her own thing. However, they both come when I whistle for them, and mostly behave when I wish them to not enter or leave a room or get off a surface...just by making a disapproving sound.
