M liked cats, and he liked dogs. And horses, and fish, and all sorts of animals. He just appreciated them all for their variety of differences.

Something i find interesting is the premise behind the original question - wheither or not a dominant can "like" another dominant personality.

and if they can't then what do "true" dominants do? They would have to be the CEO's of their own companies, or the president of their own country/world/galaxy to avoid being with another dominant, in conflict. A pretty silly idea really, since your average dom has a job and responsibilities and someone to answer to.

What the OP should have asked was why her dom didn't like cats, and i think really she should have asked why people don't like cats. Domination and submission are completely irrelevant to the question.

Seriously, all of em but the baby wait for permission to get on the couch or climb on my lap.
They even have assigned eating spots. I tell em, "Get in the foodies spot," and they move right to their appointed place.
They're pretty well trained gals.
(Now, they do try and move feeding times back-at round 8 PM they start the "It's the eating hour," meow chorus

My xdom reasoning for not liking cats is because he believes a dog would sacrifice its life for you, and a cat would not. For that, cats do not deserve any sort of consideration or care or protection or support from him.
And I personally feel it's simply because cats would not worship the ground he walks on the way dogs do it be so eager to please him. It is a distinctive difference between dogs and cats generally. Dogs are natural subs. Just gotta watch Cesar Milan to see it, Cesar just needs to radiate dominant energy, and dogs follow him like puppies. Now he cannot inspire the same in cats.

In corporation it's different, the dom needs a job to stay alive, so it's survival and sometimes you have to bite the bullet.

I say never trust a Dom who does not like cats, and especially not for the above reason. Needing animals to suck up to you is hardly Domly. Now, if you're indifferent about cats because they're boring, then sure, that's just a personal preference.

At this point in my life, if I find out she likes dogs, its about like finding out she used to be a man, I lose all interst.

I love it when the shy cat nobody but its owner can pet, rolls over for me. Drives people nits who have seen me do it more than once.

This brings back memories of my first visit to kyra in Florida. Her cat pretty was and is not a fan of men. Soon after I arrived kyra and her mom go into the kitchen to start supper. There I sitting in the chair and pretty walks up to me and I start to gently pet her. It was even more amusing because I get the song and dance that pretty doesn't like me and I would like not see pretty as she would be hiding.

Btw.. I have ten cats.... So I suppose that could mean I kinda like them....also have five dogs too. But my favorite pets are my two sluts

I love most animals...but have the softest spot for cats...always have!

My cats are total doms.....until I have a treat. then they'll sit up and beg (Gotcha, boys! who's in charge, now?)

I love that dogs give unconditional love, but I love even more that cats do not. They show loyalty differently than dogs.

Master's cats are cute. When I haven't been to his place for awhile they sometimes forget who I am, but the moment I scritch them behind the ear, they quickly remember who I am. [:)]

I admit I'm sometimes jealous of them though. [:D]

If I was allowed to have cats where I am now I would probably be getting my own and/or letting Master bring his over sometimes. So I guess next March I'll be looking for a pet friendly apartment and according to Master, has to have places he can put in hooks since my place is just wwaaay too tiny to do so. [&:]

I had a cat about 10 years ago. That cat ran my house and dear lord was she EVIL.

More to the topic cats are fine but I am more of a dog person.

I have had a cat for the last ten years. There are somethings it likes to do but it still accepts it when I don't let it go outside ban love it when I do let it out. I might have it spoiled with two feeding bowls and two bowls of water. And it likes to sleep on one of the beds i have.

At one point I was a dog person but right now, I have no place to take a dog nor the time to be taking care of it. I will take brushing up a little hair any day.

master has always had cats and he fully admits they are the mistress of the house however much he tries to dom them. our new addition is now learning fast its not a good idea to bite him the kitten gets the same look but with an added slight growl i do if i do something wrong and shes beginning to learn it

We had a dog that distrusted men. He walked in and the damn thing rolled over at his feet. Rest of the time, you had to lock it up if a repairman was expected.
