http://www.vox.com/2014/10/16/6982177/the-case-against-owning-cats I grew up in a multiple dog household. And when I have my own home, I keep multiple cats. 8 of them, all rescued and hand raised since their ears were smaller than their heads. I cannot believe that the crazy article says cats don't like being pet and gets stressed after being pet! My cat won't shut up until I pet her, otherwise, she'll keep mewing at me and won't leave me alone, and many times, jump on my lap, rub her head right into my hands even if I ignore her, insisting on being pet. My cat kills the roaches in my home, she's doing a great job. If I kept dogs, they couldn't protect me from roaches. I precisely prefer cats because they don't get into a depression when you don't spend enough time with them, saying that, 2 of my cats got sick during the period where I stopped living at home and only drop in to feed them, clean up the place and their litterbox. So they can fall inlove. One of my cat specifically, her health seems to be very corresponding to how much affection and attention I give her. When she feels neglected, she actually gets stressed and sick. The problem is, cats are like humans. They choose who they love, they don't love everyone and just anybody. And it's 100% possible for the cat not to love their owners, because just feeding them and giving them a home isn't a good reason enough for them to fall inlove with you. That's what I like about them, they are selective.
