~FR Some people like cats, some don't, some are indifferent. The same goes for dogs, horses, ducks, any kind of animal or about anything for that matter. Liking or disliking anything has nothing to do with whether or not someone is a Dominant, it's about individual likes and dislikes. We have cats and Master is indifferent about cats. He'll take care of them, feed them, take them to the vet but he is not attached to them at all. We also have dogs and a parrot both he loves and wouldn't want a life without them especially dogs. My former Dom/husband loved cats, loved dogs but was indifferent towards parrots.

They staying around you is different from obedience that you can get from a dog. If I want my cat to leave me alone, I couldn't get her to do it. I can scream and yell, she wouldn't care. I don't want to touch her, she'll climb or jump on me or find a way to rub her head into my hands.

Then it's clear why you think it's different. It's not. You just aren't having any success doing it yourself. You don't have to take my word for it either. Cats are trained to do all sorts of things, as Google will attest.

Personally I like cats. Especially my cat... but I suspect it is true that they just don't make the same emotional bond that dogs do. I'm in no doubt that my cat doesn't really give a shit about me. He sluts all over me when he's hungry, only when he's hungry. After food he's like - DO NOT TOUCH ME HUMAN and he stays away from me until his tummy grumbles again. He will come when he's called...if he's hungry. He will come and let me stroke him..if he's hungry. He will attack me after a while if he doesn't get food, he starts off by letting me know he's present, then its little head butts and rubs and then its biting and full on attacks - this cat will get food by any means. He will not give up until he's fed. He's the only cat I've had like that though, my other cats have been much nicer, I think it depends how they are raised, I didn't have this ginger beast from a kitten. I still kinda like him though.

But it's not true. Getting cats to do what you want is seriously a humongous challenge, harder than women.

Define the type of emotional bond that you are talking about? To me, a dog is damn easy. You don't even have to care for it, and it's DNA is just wired to be fully devoted and loyal to you, and basically love you unconditionally. But I can never relate to dogs because you can abuse them, beat them to death and they will still love. A cat will choose to love you if they deem you worthy. Different cats have different standards, and if they do fall inlove with you, their loyalty are like dogs. I grew up with dogs, and always hated them. They are too clingy and won't leave me alone, even when I don't even feed them or take care of them. Even my crazy x-dom pit bull came to snuggle in the bed with me, when she's actually suppose to aggressive to strangers. I was a stranger. I was telling my x-dom where is this fierce hostile dog which is suppose to be growling at me? I love cats because even if I fed them and raise them, they still may not love me, they make me jump through hoops. I don't know why I like that, but when they do choose me, I feel very unique and special exclusive to them. Also, they are gentle and graceful and not sloppy and clumsy like dogs.

When she feels neglected, she actually gets stressed and sick. The problem is, cats are like humans. They choose who they love, they don't love everyone and just anybody. And it's 100% possible for the cat not to love their owners, because just feeding them and giving them a home isn't a good reason enough for them to fall inlove with you. That's what I like about them, they are selective.

Why my house has a "no cats in the bedroom rule"... Way back in vanilla days; going for some sweaty fun with the new wife. Kitty sees some interesting things swinging in the breeze...... That cat really ruined the mood... nuff said.

My mom doesn't like cats because, when younger she was seriously attacked and injured by a couple of them, she's been afraid of them ever since. Now my dad says the only good cat is a dead cat,because he thinks their vermin who kill all the local birds an lizards and shit n ppls yards n climb all over the car. The neighbors outdoor cats are always in our yard, climbing the windshields tracking paw prints up the glass, they hunted our baby chickens when they were little, and once killed one of my dad's fav adult chickens. And they're always trying to kill the wild birds. They found away into our closed garage and began shitting in my stuff in storage. I had dried cat turdsstuck in some dresses and a movie that was out in the open. Not all of them. I personally have come across tons of cats who were giant indescriminant love bugs. S Tr angers, family , friends, didn't matter the cats sucked up to and let love on. I went to go pu a dresser for sale, and their cat let me pick him up and craddle and hold him rock and kiss him like a baby for as long as inwanted.
