Lol Kalikshama, thaqt's where I got all of mine as well. I just stay out of the place now, although I do miss the 18 year old USAF Colonels with a posse of pussy & the ensuing destruction jobs.

Yeah & that's where I think the Mods get it wrong. Pure cuntery like that should be declared open season with no bag limit..

I avoid gold mail. Of course that might be because I rarely open mail on that account and by rare I mean like every 6 months or so. Gold mail means little to me in the grand scheme of things. I am and have always been the type of person who says exactly what I mean and if that treads into dangerous grounds, so be it. I grew up in the time where kids still hung from the monkeybars upsidedown by their knees, not this new modern world where everything has foam cushioning. I figure we are raising a bunch of idiots by coddling them. We are denying them the ability to develop common sense in the old fashioned way, by getting burned once or twice. For me gold mail is like the government trying to make sure no one puts the baby in the washer, too much regulation. Phhht. I am going to say what I say, regardless of where that may have occured in my life. If I get pulled, oh well. I raised my own to have some sense and a tougher skin, its not my job to help others along that path. And if those coddled, pampered, never exposed to the realities of life people find themselves face to face with someone who might hurt them... YAY!, because then they will have gotten a lesson in the only way that is truly successful, experience.

Off topic is okay if it is wreathed in sickly sweetness, ESPECIALLY if it involves flirting with the powers that be. But if that off topic isn't all sweetness and light.......zap.

Maybe it's OCD related but anything other than an occasional thread drift bugs me. I've said before, when I click on a topic because the subject line looks interesting, and the OP is interesting, and then I have to scroll through pages of casual banter about how scary a particular dom on the forums might be, or unrelated dialogue amongst posters about how their week is going, or pages of bickering between posters that is quite obviously NOT going to resolve itself, etc....it's annoying to me. I end up closing the thread completely and missing any possible informative meat & potatoes that might be buried inside.

But that's my choice. I end up skipping threads and just not coming here for days at all. If I wanted casual chatter I'd go to a chat room. But I don't go to chat rooms, so I don't come here for that sort of thing.

I find the best way to avoid thread drift is to respond to the OP before reading on. Yes I do notice a lot of drifting, my eyes tend to glaze over the fat while looking for the meat. It doesn't really bug me but I won't respond to drift just as I don't eat fat.

Since Alpha said she was going to ponder the subject of off-topic and thread drift, and get back to the users here, perhaps this discussion might be tabled until then? It seems to have become a repeat of what is or was said in the "No moderation" thread. Just a thought.
