How was my post telling the dude that it wasn't HIS forum either OT or against TOS?

That is something that has been around since these forums started. If you reply to someone, and their post is pulled, then all replies or quotes to that post is pulled. That is according to moderation guidelines. If there was a reply to a phantom comment or question, it would not flow with the conversation.

As always, if you want a copy of your post just contact me and I will be happy to send you one.

Thanks for being a part of CollarMe,

P.S. The other possibility is that I am a double agent of the Republican Debates and infiltrated these forums. It all depends on who you get your information from ;)

I pull those things I am instructed to pull via the TOS, Guidelines and policy set for staff. This has always been done, regardless if another staff says I was incorrect when I was not. If policy changes and communication from that staff does not happen, then there will be inconsistencies . No worries on that as Alpha has set things so that it should not happen again in the future.

As Alpha said, mistakes happen, the difference is focusing on solutions and not harping on the mistake to grind down an ax.

Then, only pull stuff that actually violates TOS (which seems to be what's happening for about the last 2 weeks)

WIN/WIN

Since I did not say either his name, nor specifically quote him, I think the post shoulda been left intact. Since another post (which is still there) says the same thing..

besides, since neither post names the OP, it could have been left as a heads up for future posters that may read the thread.

*shrug*

The one you are referring to, and making it appear as if it is the same, refers to the OP specifically in the beginning of that post and has a lot more than a single sentence. Your post that was pulled did not and was a single sentence that replied specifically to a pulled post. The two are not the same, and making a comment to make them seem the same in this topic is not an accurate reflection of the facts.

I'm not sure what some are still getting out of beating and beating on this dead horse.Yes,I've had posts pulled, including one way back in February this year...NO GOLD LETTER,no nothing.Did I deserve it? Probably. But whining and complaining about it isn't going to make anything better. We are supposed all be adults on here and I know if I was a Mod,I'd be sick and tired of all the "Mods are bad" talk.I've said it before,if the Mods were truly evil, there would NOT be a single bad Mod comment and the ones posting them would be [Awaiting Approval].

I don't know. I do know it lowered the bar.

I agree. It totally lowered the bar. And leaving those posts for all to see didn't show people what an asshole he/she/it was being; instead it seemed to egg people on and many folks here started behaving the same way.

It's a good theory, but while they were here, it seemed to have done the opposite. People thought they were funny, and cool, and added spice to the boards.

Well, they hadn't beat it for 3 days, but since you brought it back to the top of the page, I reckon it shall commence again.

You're the one that revived the thread.....to complain about the thread living on too long.

Personally, I think moderation is good but I tend to do things to an extreme and have difficulty striking a balance. Still, if you can live a life in moderation, you will probably have a better chance of achieving some sense of inner peace. There, my thoughts on moderation.

The last post.. prior to your post was on 10/11/12...

YOU posted on 10/14/12...hence it being "left alone" for 3 days.

I hope with that information spelled out for you... you are able to see what JAS was pointing out.
