So wtf? Whats up with guys that have women either from real pics they took or pics taken from the internet as their pic gallery in their profiles? I dont know what it is that they think they are trying to prove - but for me it is a huge turn off. It screams to me, that "I'm a huge stud with the ladies - and I get around....now dont you want to be with a stud like me?? Cause I am the man !!!!" (Let alone - I always wonder if the girls in the real pics know that they are on someones profile being shown like that.) It also cries out to me - "I like to stick my dick in things - anything.." Fucking gross. What do ya'all think? Not ever looking at female profiles - do women do the same thing? I dont have any idea -

I've seen a few women that have photos with other women in them. Not sure I remember seeing a single woman's profile with a guy in a photo. I always think that the single guys that do it are advertizing, "See I CAN get hot chicks and here is proof! So, if I think you are hot you shouldn't ignore me." AKA, "I am so fucking desperate I will try ANYTHING to get laid", kinda dealio. Much like a rather unattractive, 'well respected' dominant male poster that constantly talks about all of the 'hot women' he's had. Pathetic.

I cannot stand men who have women in their profiles. When I ask some of them who write me WHY there are only photos of women and NONE of themselves, they say: 1. my former partners 2. what I would like in a partner in terms of looks 3. I was hoping that photo would convey what type of Dom I am. I agree with #3, it conveys you are a lazy ass who cannot take the effort to discuss what type of Dom you are and you somehow believe women looking at a photo of a women bent over a table with hands in her hair will miraculously be intuited by me as wow, he is a real Dom, he likes bending women over tables and pulling their, so sign me up!

Master has photos of me and his handi-work on me. But he's not looking for anything. He just likes to show off his "damage". [8D] But yeah, those who are still seeking and have photos of women on their profile are just a complete turn-off, even if they are from the web. I mean they are probably just trying to say "this is what I like and what I want to do" but to me all is says is I'm still a 15 year old horny boy. ETA: I've seen femdommes that have photos of their male subs in their profile. The same reason applies to them as well.

I always wonder if the other people in the pics know that their image is on a kink site. Couples, sure, show the two of you. Maybe some play pics that don't show faces, but not as a primary. Stock pics? Wtf?

Thanks Janah! On the last thread, we discussed how male and female brains can differ - some men are wired to be turned on by "this is what I would like to do" pics and don't realize most female brains do not work the same way. Can anyone elaborate on this?

Yeah, I once asked a guy on here about that. His response. "So, she was my slave. I get to do whatever I want with the photos". So I asked him if she knew about them being online since he no longer owned her and he said "she was mine. Anything left here after she left is still mine. I don't need her permission". As I guy, I think it's half to do with showing off to other guys ("hey, look what I got! you should assume that we had sex and she's NOT my sister") and half for women. What do they think they'll get from the second bit? I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's partially to show that they're somehow successful (because having your life stable and together is totally shown by having a girl in a photo with you), that the prospect of competition will motivate her, or that she'll be compelled to act now before this wanna-be magical stud-muffin with delusions of adequacy finds another woman. All in all, the idea is pretty stupid. It's right up there with women in group shots ("guess which one's me! totally not false advertising, right?") and other stupid tricks. I don't mind the folk that put up a stock photo, like a flower or landscape, because there are plenty of reasons for people not to want to advertise their face/body on a site like this, particularly with regards to family, friends, and work. That said, while we're on the subject of profile pictures, it's a nice idea to at least put something there to show effort (just like having a profile that's more than a few sentences). Maybe that's wishful thinking for this Dom, but it's the way I see things.

When I said "stock photos" I was thinking of porn pics and the like. Heaven knows there's no pics of me on my profile here! But I do getmail from those pics, and have started conversations that way. Eeh. Some youngun posted his PROM pic!

mussorgsky - I perved your profile to see if you had any actual pictures of you (which you do, albeit from long distance) and wanted to let you know that your dark green background makes it very hard to read your profile, which I would probably find quite good, if it didn't hurt my eyes :)

Honestly, I frown on anyone having a picture of someone that isn't them and isn't a current partner (who's consented to their photos being on the site). I'd still consider someone who left up photos of a past (consenting) partner depending on the photos - if it's there to show off rope work, no problem. But... stock photos of women? Stolen ones? I've come across quite a few male dominant profiles that have some very captivating photos in them. I didn't pay much attention to whether they were single or not, just that they had good taste in photos. Nothing more, nothing less. And it sure as heck beats the in your face cock shots,

hehe - i look at the profile pic and assume that the profile or poster is a woman. Seems logical to me . So if i was looking, i would completely miss out on that person. and if there are others that do as i do, then using a womans picture for your profile pic would mean that there are potential women who are missing you all together. Just a thought.

I've got them. Yes, it is a 'this is what I like to do/yes, I'm capable of doing this' kind of thing. Truthfully, I have more fun doing the pics of needle play or whatever. On the other site, I have the toy collection pic that people say guys shouldn't put up as well. Even with that said, yes, I do think it's tacky to keep pics of the ex up when looking for somebody new. I get that it's not the first thing on most people's minds the minute they split up, but a certain time frame is reasonable.
