Lol well I know that but an honestly true opinion, isn't the same as reality truth. Though didn't think someone was going to pick what I said apart. But its fine. I enjoy conversation. You are right. But I meant truth in a reality persective not opinionated. Though she could be lying, so there could be no truth. She is just saying that cause she doesn't like me or trying to persuade me in some way I won't make it to my goals and dreams. Which is fine. I've dealt eith that abuse for awhile so I've gained an immunity from it

Alecta -> RE: finding myself (10/8/2012 9:58:39 PM)

That's what I'm saying though. Her opinions are honest, although they may not be factual truth it is her honest opinion.
Trust me, nobody here hates you. We have bigger fish to fry.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/8/2012 10:06:22 PM)

That is true. However in the perspective of reality she doesn't know the truth. And for all I know she could just be saying the to get me down. But I've learned to slide that off my shoulder after my ex dumped me more than 2 years ago. So she can say what she wants.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: finding myself (10/8/2012 10:08:17 PM)

The air force is a branch of the service that doesn't engage in the "break to make" dehumanising methods of training. They start out with really solid specimens. Janah's not kidding about their pickiness.

That is not to say that you shouldn't TRY.

Here is one to throw ya. What you believe to be true, very likely may not entirely be. And THAT is the truth.

Alecta -> RE: finding myself (10/9/2012 11:05:59 AM)

There's no point being hung up on whether other people are saying truths when they give you their opinion. That's the whole point, it's an opinion. It does not have to be factual truth. No reasonable person expects it to be factual universal truth.

Hib, I know. I got disqualified for a slight increase in myopia in the preceding 24 months and they weren't even trying to grab me for pilot. Different AirForce though.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/9/2012 1:21:11 PM)

Luckly for me I don't want to go into the airforce. I don't think it would suit me.

I'm not hung up. I was just saying. You were the one correcting me. When I already knew.

I'd had therapy before I enlisted in the USAF and that wasn't a problem, nor was the 10# I needed to lose, which I did in fact lose (plus more) in Boot Camp.

You should check with different branches of the service re their weight standards. I'd get moving on this - you're 22.

PS - good for you for losing what you've already lost!

Nope I haven't loss all the wieght yet was 373 now I'm down to 220 so so another 30 pounds to go. But I'm really excited about it.

Saying this with love - that almost 200 # weight gain at your age could be another indicator for therapy.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 4:57:13 PM)

I'm going marines, and I don't know when you went in but since there is no real war restrictions have been tighter then 11 min and sit up count of 60 or 75 in two min.

LadyPact -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 4:59:56 PM)

Ummmmm, dude......

Unless you've got a size 17 1/2 neck, you won't make tape.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:00:06 PM)

Well I'm forced into my own therepy I guess. I feel its a therepy for me. I've gotten wiser and stronger on my own therepy.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:03:29 PM)

My cousin or my friend didn't have the neck in tape but they went through. And that's why they are called muscles. You can work those out to make them bigger.

LadyPact -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:06:56 PM)

Yes, you can. Are you doing that?

Right now, for your height, you are thirty-five pounds over for your age bracket.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:09:37 PM)

I know. I am keeping myself updated. And yes I am working them out cause I have a size 16 neck.

LadyPact -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:14:32 PM)

Yeah, ummmmm, hon, no way.

Your recruiter probably should have talked to you about this by now. Now, they will work with you, but you're not going anywhere with those stats.

LtDrygon -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:18:11 PM)

With what stats?

LadyPact -> RE: finding myself (10/10/2012 5:19:52 PM)

Height, weight, age, and percent of body fat. (That's where the neck measurement comes in.)

I know I'm not going anywhere. Its not like I have a recruiter anyways. That one. Two, if I need to tone down something I won't work it out for a bit. Three, I know I'm not there yet so I haven't seen a recruiter yet. I know where I need to be and know what I need to have and neck really isn't important to me. The only reason I work it out is so that I have more muscle eating up caleries. So acceptance is not needed. And my age has nothing to do with howmuch I need to weight. That's why its called height and body weight.
