Not show people I need to persuade to give me another chance (please baby, it will be different this time) what an absolute dick I can be.

I agree

What would you do in his $800 shoes?

Not show people I need to persuade to give me another chance (please baby, it will be different this time) what an absolute dick I can be. Likeability is about the only poll number the President has, still above 50%.

The only problem is that, in the dating world, a person can choose to remain single.

Our nation doesn't have that option unfortunately.[:-]

With what? The President might well commit a self-destructive act with such an approach, or that I can be a dick?

If the latter, then I have to tell you, that that's been common knowledge around here for a long time. [;)]

True. I did neglect to warn her about you.

Fightdirecto -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/11/2012 9:26:58 PM)

An old man slapped around and beat up a little boy live on national TV - and no one called a cop.

Shows how law and order has broken down...

:-D

Hate to say it, but the Orioles v. Yankees preempted the debate on my TV. The Orioles avoided elimination.

Biden acted like a total jerk and never let Ryan finish a point without a lot of interuptions, and the moderator let him get away with it.

LoveToBeBad -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/11/2012 9:47:53 PM)

I don't know...I was too busy being free..and watching and debating my dear republican, conservative, ( want to fist fight until I agree ) friends... Vote liberal and free weed...!~

You must have watched a different one than me. The moderator called Biden on it more than once

TheHeretic -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/11/2012 9:52:39 PM)

The moderator also took it to Biden on Afghanistan way harder than Ryan did.

tazzygirl -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/11/2012 9:54:49 PM)

I actually liked her... much better than the presidential one

slvemike4u -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/11/2012 10:47:34 PM)

Biden took Ryan to the woodshed.
While I don't for a moment believe that folks vote for the bottom of the ticket, one guy(Biden) came off as an actual "partner" in policy decisions while the other(Ryan) came off as the best reason to pray for the health of a President Romney .
Biden actually looked better this time than he did against Palin, probably due to lack of concern about coming off as condescending.

Well, Mike, we can agree that was there.

FR
I thought it was a good debate that covered
a lot of ground and had some real substance.

I thought Martha did a very good job.
She asked intelligent questions and had
good follow ups. She wasn't any tougher
on Ryan than she was on Biden.

Common wisdom says the veep debate
doesn't usually help the presidential
candidate that much but if it has the
potential to hurt the ticket if it goes
badly. I don't think either candidate hurt
their ticket. But Biden helped his by
stirring up the base and nailing some
good points and driving them home.
He controlled the debate overall.

An intelligent man always takes his hints without the need of a lady using a slege hammer. Interpret it how you will.

Ryan was, as anyone who has paid attention expected, totally unprepared for a debate in which the other debater would not simply accept his lies and fantasies as the truth. People who care about the nation will see Ryan as not qualified to be President and therefore will be less likely to vote for Romney.

Also people who care about politeness will find it unacceptable that Ryan does not have respect for the office he wishes to hold. You do not speak to the VP by his first name, close family excepted. Ryan's rehearsed closing statement showed his lack of respect for the man and the office.

ElizabethAnne -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/12/2012 3:25:46 AM)

Here is a FACT - Joe Biden lied about the embassy not requesting more security; They did, they were denied; now they are dead.

farglebargle -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/12/2012 3:38:22 AM)

Seems to me that if Paul Ryan actually CARED about Americans, he wouldn't have taken away the money needed for embassy security.

I especially liked how after Ryan made some crazy request to be called "Mister" instead of "Congressman" he talked down to the mod. by calling her by her first name.

But we all know how Republicans feel about women, right?
