I missed the first third of the debate because I was busy masturbating.

My overall take I what I did see is:

On matters of substance... Biden, by a long shot.

On matters of image... Biden by a nose (Biden came across as rude for a while but eventually settled down. Ryan just looked maniacal).

Gloating? Hardly; a tragedy that didn't have to happen. And where was the retaliation for it? oh yeah, nm, Obama apologized for some obscure you tube video. Now that shows strength.

Well, the saving grace here is one third of your time was spent in a useful endeavor.

Biden looked like a jagoff by interrupting and smirking.

That's a bit harsh. Biden might have come across as being a bit boorish, but I still wouldn't compare his demeanour to that of the Republican chimp in the '00 and '04 debates...

So more from CNN:

The facts:
According to Democratic House Oversight Committee staff, the amount that the GOP-led House passed for two accounts that pay for embassy security in fiscal 2012 ($2.311 billion) was $330 million less than the Obama administration had requested ($2.641 billion).
A GOP House Appropriations Committee aide confirmed the House bill had less in these accounts than what the administration requested.
However, the final bill, after being worked on by the Democratic-led Senate, put in more money than what had passed in the House. The final bill, which passed with bipartisan support, gave a total of $2.37 billion to these accounts for fiscal 2012 -- about $270 million less than what the administration had requested.
Conclusion: The GOP-led House did initially approve about $330 million less than what the administration requested, but in the final bill, passed with bipartisan support after adjustments by the Senate, put the amount a little closer to the administration's target.

So out of 2.37 BILLION Dollars they couldn't find additional support for our embassy? Let's look at the whole story not snippets.

So if you said to your five kids, make due with food money enough for 4.....it would be their fault that they were hungry?

And broadcasting our Libyan CIA assets out to the entire world at the "hearing"?

They frick`n showed a frick`n google map of one of our security compounds there.

How did that increase our security there?

You know hun.....the terrorist know how to used the internetz.....?

Boorish my ass, Biden looked and acted like a giant douche, which is what Obama wanted.

Like the retaliation for 9/11 that republicans gave us? Killed 10,000 more of us for what?

From CNN:

On Wednesday, the State Department's former point man on security in Libya told the House Oversight Committee that he asked for additional security help for the Benghazi facility months before the attack, but was denied.
Various communications dating back a year asked for three to five diplomatic security agents, according to testimony at Wednesday's hearing. But Eric Nordstrom, the one-time regional security officer, said he verbally asked for 12 agents.
The request for 12 agents was rebuffed by the regional director of the State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Nordstrom testified.
"For me and my staff, it was abundantly clear that we were not going to get resources until the aftermath of an incident," Nordstrom said.
Also, Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, a Utah National Guardsman who was a site security commander in Libya from February through August, testified that a regional security officer tried to obtain more personnel, but 'was never able to attain the numbers he felt comfortable with." It was unclear whether he was talking about Nordstrom.

So yeah I got proof.

It wasn't an embassy......now was it

Officer Wood got the name of the regional security officer that told him that? Or just more smoke and mirrors?

Come again? What "facility" do you think they are talking about?

Substance - Biden

Style - Ryan

We were watching different debates. Ryan was out of his league and his face showed it all night.

I thought Ryan was better composed. Doesnt mean I disagree with how Biden did things.

Composed, thought he looked like he wanted to cry out for his momma. Go back to 2008 Biden was the exact same way.

Hence my comparison to the chimp's behaviour on the campaign trail in '00 and '04. Were you complaining about all the smirking and interrupting he was doing back then?

ElizabethAnne -> RE: reactions to vice presidential debate (10/12/2012 12:58:03 PM)

Ohhh....ok; so you're saying we shouldn't have gone after Al Queda; We should have kept our tails between our legs, and done nothing. Got it; Now that's showing real strength.

How about you tell that to the families of all the dead that you needed to show "strength" rather than going and doing anything of substance. Go to a VA hospital and tell that to one of those that lost legs and arms and minds.....

And while the smoke was still rising,Mittens and you and the rest are attacking our diplomats in the middle east...just after Stevens was killed......claiming they apologized to the terrorists....

Is that your definition of supporting our foreign service personnel?

No one believes you cons care about them.

We shouldnt have armed, funded, and created it in the first place.

But we should have went after al-queda where the 9/11 guys were from, rather than where al-queda wasn't.

So maybe we should retaliate for Libya by invading Iraq again,[8|] and kill thousands more civilians?
