domoarigato042 Thanks for your input. You said a lot here, but the best part was about passwords which I will work on changing very soon. I am the only one that uses my computer except one time when I brought my laptop over to someone's house after only knowing him a short while. I showed him some pics that I had of myself and he asked if he could have that one folder and I said yes. I needed to use the restroom and Im not 100% sure if he did anything else. He is extremely computer savvy, so I do have some concerns. So, that is why I have been coming here and other techie forums to find ways to get the best bang for my buck with security features like A/V and other programs that will hunt down and fix malware, spyware, viruses, and other pests. I have heard nothing bad about CCleaner, so I see no reason not to have that on my computer. And now I have Norton which comes free with my ISP. It may be a hog and invasive, but I went with it for now and uninstalled Avast. I probably am repeating myself now, so on with what needs to be done, at least with the passwords. That will be a long, tedius task. I probably have at least 100 bookmarks for websites, but I usually only go to about 10-15 on a regular basis. thanks again, OregonGirl
