becouse you can't conquer a counrie with a navy friend;) a navy is not a vital part of the military... besides that, why would it have to be done more often?

(But I'm just one man, alone in the wilderness....).

Why did Germany lose WWI and WWII? Their navy was defeated and they couldn't stop the flow of materiel to the allies or stop the landings Why did Japan lose? Same thing Why didn't N Korea win immediately (it was a very near thing)? They had no navy to speak of and couldn't stop the resupply of the South. Navies don't conquer countries but lack of one means the best you can hope for is a stalemate while your opponent reduces your cities to rubble. Take some history classes.

The US air superiority has no use when they would already fighting over Iran;) where the air superiority would have been vital... The US has the best airforce and naval, sad part is that you don't conquer/protect any counrie with it... at the ground the US simply sucks. Here is no discussion about, both Pakistan and Afghanistan already sided with Iran, besides that, the people over there would do anything to get their gouverments as far as declearing war on the US. There are lots of ambassadors in Israel, don't know why that is so wierd in your eyes... Iran doesn't need all of that, the strait of Hormuz isn't that great... the only thing Iran has to do is dropping the mines;) then its all closed. The US wouldn't be able to get passed them directly, in meanwhile Iran could send its small boats wich have enough torpedo's to sink the big ships of the US, while the US can't do alot while these small boats of Iran can easely dodge any encounters;) I have my facts right here;) If you want to make clear that the US is unstopeble then you need to open your eyes friend;) the US is a falling superpower.

Germany already lost when it invaded the Soviet Union, the Japanese lost becouse of the nukes;) Who needs lessons now friend;) Yes a navy is very important, but not vital.

RE: air superiority. Ever hear of bombers? You're too young to remember the first Gulf war. Germany invaded the USSR in June, 1941. At the time, they were winning handily on all fronts. As for the nukes, Japan was already defeated and both sides were preparing for the end game. They only hastened the end. Seriously dude, read some history instead of drinking Mullah Koolaid.

One problem, Irans navy are not a bunch of ordinary pirates who are just floating on the water friend;) the "Phalanx" has a certain range, has a certain field of firing, do you think Iran wouldn't have messured that... besides that, while US ships are trying to stop the small boats of Iran, Iran could easely attack them with missiles from the ground... it would take almost the whole US navy to get through that. I read enough history, but you should come along with the time friend;)

Ground based missiles are also vulnerable to the phalanx if they survive the initial aerial bombardment. You have shown that you have read almost no history.
