I expect not only payment, but attributions for my words DS.  And it is rather ironic as well as pathetic to see you arguing from the other side of your mouth on this issue.  (And so mordantly).

Ron, I never did get on your case about using words that were big, just ones that aren't typical lexicon. Who pays you for your words?!?

Careful now. Mike might think you're trying to confuse him.

I do.
I'm seeing if positive reinforcement might encourage some of you folks to use more complex language, so I'm paying Ron by the syllable.

Obama WH
(Rising Star pub takes it over in 2016 - Romney is persona non-grata to the pubs and won't stand a chance against the up and coming pub crop so some face-saving going on now for that eventuality.)
Rep losses in House but not enough to flip. Tea people - bi bi (Joe Walsh down by over 20 pts last I checked and others - similar)
With 21 dem and only 10 rep seats up for grabs, Senate flips

Cards beat Giants in 5 and then Detroit in 5.

One point for the Obama prediction. Go me!
2016 remains to be seen. No score. (I do think I'll get a retroactive point though.)
Rep losses in House but not enough to flip. Score another point for me.
Tea People bi bi - yay me again. Another point
No Senate flip - no point.. but yeah anyway.
Way off on Giants.. I had a momentary panic attack but YEAH.. so glad I lost that one!

So, 3 out of 5 and the two I lost in predictions were personal wins for me. I am over-all happy with my performance. So, for my two losses, I'll take a couple of crows legs, dredged in flour, egged, dregged in a bit of panko and quickly fried in a hot butter then served with a smokey pineapple dip.

Crunch, crunch.. chew, chew. Swallow. (Yes, this chick swallows.. lol)

yummmmm.. It's crow.. but it tastes good.

I'm 2 for 2 on CM Pres predictions.

And, Firm, in the spirit of a light hearted barb and seeing as you are awfully cute and such a good sport about eating your crow.. (it really did make me chuckle out loud) as I recall.. you are 0 for 2 on that sorta thing, right? Something about landslides for both McCain and Romney? You might want to think about cheering on the 'wrong' guy next time. You know.. given your track record it might be the best thing you can do for the 'right' guy.

In any event, I hope you two don't go so Galt that we don't see you any more. Best wishes to you both. Thanks for the fun of the thread.

ohhhh, cute am I?

What a beautiful and insightful woman you are!

I wasn't fired up over McCain. Didn't think he had much of a chance, other than a blip of hope with Palin for a while, but as soon as his campaign started throwing her under the bus, I knew it was over.

I did get the 2010 Congressional landslide correct, as well as call it for Bush, twice (I know, I know ... but I've been around long enough that someone will go and do a search, if they think I'm wrong ... )

Based on what I've seen so far, it looks like the technical cause of the Romney defeat was the lower turnout of Republican voters. If they had come out to even McCain's low threshold, we would be talking about how Obama screwed the pooch ...

But so it goes ....

Nahh, we plan on going galt on the economy, not CM (although we have had only a little time to spend here lately, comparatively). We are positioning ourselves so that we can pretty much retire, and not be concerned about ups and downs in the greater society.

But the CM society is "safe". For now.

Best wishes, Bita. And thanks for taking this thread as it was intended.

Ooohhh... that almost sounds good.

While Firm is a real he-man and takes his crow raw (flapping and cawing), I did a bit of googling for some crow recipes and found Crow Busters.

The have an interesting looking one for Crow Creole...

He just mad that I called ohio right.

First, it's Lucas County, and now it's Ohio? Damn, man. You can't even keep the story on one path. I didn't know how Ohio was going to fall. I had hoped it wouldn't go blue again. Lucas County, I knew was going to be blue.
Now, am I just mad that you called the election right?
What then? Am I just mad that ________ (fill in the blank)?
I'm not mad. I'm just not happy Obama got re-elected. I will continue to call him my President, as much as I didn't want to do that.

Man, you are always mad. I can always count on that when coming here.

Does that mean that I can count on you being smug simply because your picture gives that impression? No. It does not. You claimed to have told me how Lucas Co. would fall. You didn't. Had you told me it would fall blue, I'd have agreed with you. I already knew it would. Been here long enough to know. I mean, seriously, when you have a City that makes their choice of Mayors between A-Team Democrats an B-Team Democrats, without a real Republican running, how could you get any other idea that the County would fall blue?

When you were called on your bs of telling me how my County would vote, you shifted it to telling me how Ohio would fall. Yes, you said it was going to go blue. You do understand that, at its most basic, any guess between it falling red or falling blue gives one a 50/50 chance, right? You can claim to have known it was going to go blue, but there is no way to prove otherwise.

You have to try a lot harder than that to make me mad. You've done it before. You'll probably do it again (intended or not). But, I'm not mad that you were correct in your election predictions.

lol wow........don't make me feel sad for you man....

I won't make you do anything, DYB. Feel free to not get emotional over me. I'm sure you have plenty of people and things much more important than me, for you to worry about.
