I hope your dreams ease soon. I know they can be very disruptive.

I will sometimes have dreams about family where something is wrong. When I wake up the feeling is so strong that I rarely make past noon till I pick up the phone and makes sure everything is okay. My family is use to me, thank goodness!

I also have dreams that are so vivid, so real, that even by dinner time I can still remember the details.

My worst dreams, and the ones that wake up hubby because I am crying, usually involve my Mom. The dreams are usually totally normal. Think of watching a movie. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, my mom walks across the screen. There is no interaction with her. She just walks into the frame, and tyen right back out of it.

Now, MDA, before you start analyzing my dream for me, my Mom died 10 1/2 years ago. She fell into a coma before I got to town. I never got a chance to say good bye. To tell her one last time that I loved her. Even after a decade my grief is very unresolved, there has been no closure. I know that. And yes, I am crying right now. My relationship with God is on shaky ground. Even though I know, and truly believe, she is in a better place, I can't forgive God for taking her away.

Big {{{{HUGS}}}} YDD, OP...and to anyone else that suffers from bad dreams.

I agree that dreams are a way for our minds to deal with what's tumbling around inside. For me, I tend to have premonitive types of dreams, and I struggle to embrace them for what they are.

I have precognitive dreams too which manifest in 2's: 2 days, 2 weeks, even 2 years after they occurred. They have helped me prepare for what is to come. The only one I've had a terrible time accepting was my beloved niece suddenly dying. I keep hoping the dream power got its wires crossed on that one.

We're very close and I debated the value of telling her. She wanted to know and we had a good discussion about her feelings on dying. She has her affairs in order and is OK with it if need be. She said she would feel sad leaving her partner and child behind, but isn't afraid or upset by the concept. So for that discussion alone, I'm glad the dream brought up the subject.

Oh, that is surreal, MDA.

My bestfriend is similar, she has very vivid dreams which almost always happen days, weeks, months, years later. Could be as insignificant as a mundane conversation with her boss or something happening to someone she cares about. Very trippy!
