Hello kinksters,

just a little problem in which hopefully some athletes here can help me with.

I used to weigh 200 lbs, I'm now 108/106 lbs depending. In the past 6 months Ive lost approx 35lbs due to losing 2 members of my family, the stress is still there and the weight is still declining, is there anything I can do to stop this? As its muscle being lost as of present.

My daily intake is around 1500 cals + 4k run and yoga etc,

You have lost nearly half your original body weight. Have you had a CMP/CBC (blood tests)?

Causes could be anemia, adrenal failure due to stress, thyroid...a million other things. Please consult your doctor.

You need to see a doctor. And get counselling.

Littlewonder, I'm not trying to lose anymore and I think a 4 km run is sufficient exercise.

Anemia in my experience had cause weight gain, so not that, my thyroid is normal, and as for counselling.... Yeah that stuff doesn't work

what I'm looking for is a method to slow down my metabolism as i eat and eat but my weight lowers still.

You are only eating 1500 calories that's why you keep losing weight. Your exercise/energy expenditure is outweighing your caloric intake.

Not enough in + a lot out = weight loss.

Increase your caloric intake. This isn't rocket science. You can't blame it on "stress" if you are not willing to see a doctor or counsellor.

Right just a point here, doctors are no good and counsellers are idiots. A councillor told me it was my choice to develop an eating disorder at age 13, my choice to develop depression, they have phisher price degrees. Ye may do things differently, but counsiling and me no no, sorry did i not write its 1500 a meal? 2 meals a day, I did work in a gym i know basic nutrition, so any ideas now? 3000 a day and a little exercise? Not rocket science, i'm looking to slow my metabolic rate, to stop burning everything.

Exercise will build up muscle mass which is what you want. You said most of the weight you lost was muscle....so exercise and up your caloric intake to be more than what you are burning off.

1500 calories in 2 meals is probably not the right way to go about it. People with fast metabolic rates should ideally eat 6 small meals evenly spread throughout the day.

Since you don't want to see a doctor or counsellor (you do know you are entitled to 2nd and 3rd opinions?), maybe you should see a dietician. It wouldn't hurt to get your thyroid checked again.

Dieticians?? Oh dear no, I despise them, I think your confused people with slow metabolic rates are told to eat little and often to keep it running like clockwork to maintain or lose, I've been advsed by a personal trainer to overload my body in 2 main meals of 1500 each, spaced 5 hours apart to basically suck out as much calories from the food, to try and slow it as best I can, dont get me wrong I like that I have o eat copious amounts of chicken steak and pasta then pizza and whatever elswe but surely there has to be some athlete or someone who trains the whole time ho can give me advice other then dietican, counselling and doctror?

Why would you want the advice of a stranger on the internet rather than someone that you know has the proper credentials to give you advice?

Seems to me that you are wanting someone to tell you what you want to hear. Several of the posters that have offered advice are knowledgeable on the subject, but you keep saying no.

I am an expert on Googling.

Ding dongs are vile!! So are twinkies!!

Eh and what exactly do I want to hear? Seeing as you seem to know my intent, strangers give better advice no connection just someone from the outside looking in, all I want is advice on something that will either chill me out and reduce stress or help me maintain weight because I cant afford to keep buying smaller clothes

ScarletKisses,

Since counselors don't know anything (ie - don't tell you what you want to hear), dieticians don't know anything (ie - don't tell you what you want to hear) and none of your peers, here, know anything - as evidenced by your rejection of every suggestion and word of advice - you, obviously, know f***all. My question, then, is: Why are you asking anybody for "advice?" Let me guess, you are waiting for someone to tell you that starving yourself for attention *isn't any of your responsibility*, over-exercising *isn't any of your responsibility* and wallowing in your misery *isn't any of your responsibility.*

If you won't do anything that makes sense, like seek counseling from someone who can help you work through your grief over your personal loss (and, honestly, my sincerest condolences), shoot straight and not take your bs, instead of a "yes man," who lets you pull the wool over your own eyes; get a good game plan for PROPER diet (that doesn't, necessarily mean consuming the least amount of calories to barely sustain your life), and appropriate, non-punitive exercise, no one can help you.

I wish you well. But, if you're here just for a "poor you" pity party, move on, sister.

QR

ETA - I see that JstAnotherSub beat me to seeing that you probably just want someone to let you fool yourself, too.

You were given that by several people....

End of the day you need to consume more calories than you burn.

You are eating 3000 calories

You are running 4k which is burning a lot of those, then there is yoga and then day to day living.

If it is a simple food against expenditure then you need to up your intake of the right food -

If it is due to stress then you need to see a Doctor.

Christ on a bike does every detail have to be explained to you lot?? Right dieticians are idiots because my experience was an overweight cow screaming into my face I was going to die over being over weight, I then developed bulimia as I was physucally bullied by a boy who nearly shattered my shin bone in a bad day, which my doctor told me was a phase, the ed continued until I was 19 as I figured hey if im skinny i wont get hurt, a counsellor told me it was my choice to develop one, not a way of coping with being beaten every day.

I'm looking for advice on slowing down my metabolism so I dont get any skinnier because I will relapse and Ive been recovered too long to do that! Pity party? I wasn't raised to self pity I was raised to deal with shit as it comes, no counsillors, no pills thats bs for people who say they can't cop, so is that enough details for you all???

I want to stop losing or bulk up so I dont fucking relapse into something that ruined my life and someone on here might have a decent solution cause nothing is working!!

And yet you insist that your trainer friend is more knowledgeable than anyone else.

I will tell you the truth.

IF what you say is true, you need to eat more often instead of shoving 1500 calories into your face twice a day. At this point, between yoga and your daily life, you are expending enough calories to maintain your weight. Your running is taking you over the top. So adjust to add more calories to include the expenditure when you run... or stop running.

Beyond that, no one can help you. You have to help yourself.

If you're losing too much weight and muscle mass, change the exercise that you're doing.

Running is great for building up stamina and burning off calories. It also keeps your metabolism higher.

Stop running (or cut back), and focus on exercise that will build muscle. Fixed or free weights are a good start.

Although if you worked in a gym, this should be stuff you already know.
