You are probably right about the ts not having the temperament to use just the bar to start with. Mark Rippitoe sp? Book Starting Strength recommends starting with just the bar to maximise the linear strength gains (adding weight each session). The ts probably won't get bulky for a couple reasons. One she won't actually lift. Two unless she uses steriods she is at a hormone deficit. Third she probably would not eat enough to get really bulky.

Grow up because you all used the same shpeel of doctors and counslllors vs calories/intake? Honestly you lot are cracked, I've repeated myself countless times saying i want to SLOW MY METABOLIC RATE, its damn near impossible to eat more food then I am already so all I'm looking for is for some person involved in sports who trains on a regular basis to share a technique or two, like a weight lifter or footballer because they know what thier talking about as they slow thier rates to gain muscle when training, instead of a bunch of women using the same lines, if you don't have anything practical to tell me, don't bother yourselves. Everybodys different in thier body, so if anyone has any decent advice as to training and diet to slow it all down please message me as hearing the same craic is derranged. If one of you said it why the need to repeat it like eejits? If it didn't help the first time it aint gonna help the 7th or 8th time.

Try a protein weight gainer. There are all different kinds. The one I used to use was about 750 calories, 25 grams of protein and 150 grams of carbs. If you add two scoops of one of these a day that's an extra 1500 calories. I would say take one mid day and one a few hours before bed. You should see a difference in two weeks. If your weight gain rate is too high then cut it back to one a day. Or even half.

But if your loss is because of a health issue this won't likely work.

OP if you think stress is causing you to lose weight, why in hell did you decide to get a tattoo http://www.collarchat.com/m_4272999/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#4273440?
You have until some time in November to stress about the pain because you choose to have it done over the ribs.

ETA an 's'

MsLadySue I haven't gotten it yet and if you think a tattoo is related to weight loss then this is more an asylum then I thought.

Excuse me for wanting to honor two people I love who I lost 6 and 2 months ago.

I think it is wonderful that you are about to honour two people you loved.
It just seems you are stressing about the pain this tattoo will cause you.

Haha no I'm used of pain, between random injuries from nights out and my general clumsiness i'm always in pain or bandaged up,

the most stressful thing for me at the moment thats a major contributing factor is the aftershocks of the past 6 months which are starting to show affect, like my family fragmenting and fighting over silly things while I try to hold them together and the worry of the excessive drinking being referred to as a coping mechanism by some members, I dont drink apart from the occasional night out once in a blue moon but damn! I know its not going to help full stop so im stressed trying to break the habit.
