But wait Lucy... It proves something important. It proves that the New Yorker gives equal time to the extreme right. NY will be DEEP BLUE in two weeks when the map becomes official.
And our friend Stern Skipper told me that he is going to be up in NH volunteering for the next two weeks painting in the blue on the granite state. Go get em Stern!
All these bloggers and journalists can point to whatever they want. The states to watch are Ohio, NH, and Wisconsin.
Im looking forward to tonite... polls are all over the place now, the swing states are the most interesting, aye:)
I have to admit, I was not too sure about the NY, cept I agree with the endorsement for the reasons explained:)
We're now wearing blinders to the polls for the next two weeks (though I doubt I'll be able to resist inflicting a little pain here and there with them). But professionally, they are "Bad, HOT, MUSTN'T TOUCH"[:D]
Today, we've had con calls with two news bureaus today, Fox (4 hours ago) and CNN (2 hours ago) They both represented the same Quinnipiac poll concerning the likely outcome in Ohio. The Fox staffers were trying to translate the data as Romney having taken the lead in Ohio. The CNN people represented it as "Obama leading 50% to 45% having had his lead narrowed from a 53% lead." What I found striking was the Fox people continually interrupted my staffers saying "If this trend continues...". Yet they couldn't answer the question "Since we all are fairly agreeable to the fact that the actual undecided vote in Ohio is really under 1% at this time, and the other percentiles are dug in, how is it you realistically expect 'this trend' to continue". Clearly someone at Fox didn't fill the whiteboard with comeback statements.
