Something stinks about the entire episode.

I don't know all the facts, and neither do you.

But Watergate took months to gain traction. It was ignored and belittled for a long time.

What I have found confounding is why would the Administration make up some crap (protest caused by a video), and why didn't any help get to the Americans holding off the attack for 7 hours, especially when it seems that the Administration was aware of it at the highest levels?

I can think of no good, honest reason for either of those events, especially with the continuing details that are dribbling out.

And Biden and his comments to the grieving family when their dead son's body is coming back to US soil .... that is so inappropriate, especially for a supposed experienced politician to lead me to believe that there is something else causing pressure on him, so that his equilibrium is off-kllter.

This entire thing just smells to high heaven.

Question - If these guys  with blackwater-style security jobs had gone into landscaping instead, would they go through life being called "former navy seals"?
    I know a lady with a son who was very brave in Iraq, and no one gives him that kind of respect. Of course,  there's no political currency in that, is there ELchupa?

In other words, it has a point of view and inconvient facts that challenge your beliefs. Therefore, denigrate the source, and not the facts or the logic.

Typlcal of the very statist progressives that I'm talking about.

You can't have a discussion about different views, because you see anyone who doesn't agree with you as either 1) stupid, 2) evil or 3) mentally incompetent.

And you want us to compromise with you?

As I said, your side's idea of "compromise" is "unconditional surrender".

Ain't gonna happen. "Conservatives" have compromised themselves into a position where there simply isn't any more room to maneuver without becoming something other than "conservative".

This is the crux of why I think we are likely heading for a place that no one wishes to go. Your side won't accept anything less than complete domination, and we have no more to give you without giving up the basis of what we believe.
