Imagine that. When you get comprehensive reproductive healthcare, you don't have unplanned pregnancies requiring abortion in the first place.

Fucking republicans. Join us all in the 21st century. We have medicine and smartphones.

It hinges on two important and absent parameters:
1) Education
2) Acceptance that sex is for more than reproduction.

Fucking IDIOTS who accept that this can even be DISCUSSED in a country where human rights are claimed to be protected.

FR,

So, without PP, there is no access to contraceptives, huh?

For poor women who otherwise cannot afford gyno care? No.

And while PP doesnt provide mammograms, they do provide breast exams... which many women would not get without the presence of PP.

They do also provide referrals for mammograms just like any other gynocologist would. Imaging is not usually done in office.

If it weren't for PP I'd have no access to preventative care I could afford. It would all be over priced er visits or a couple hundred bucks at urgent care, and only address the problems of the moment.

Through PP I get annual physicals I can afford. Testing when needed. I've been referred to a specialist who will take low income patients when I needed it. They aren't all about vaginas and abortions anymore. And I've never used their abortion services.

And just so you know, NO President drives his own auto, the Secret Service does, just as it drives for willard and GOD Forbid willard wins, I trust you will condemn him for not driving his own auto's

And YES he does have a drivers license issued from the State of Illinois

A simple google search will prove that

Very true, there are a lot of uninsured women who get most of their medical needs through PP, they offer low cost medical service covering a wide range of services, abortions are less then 1% of the service they provide

And believe it or not they offer low cost medical service for men also, in such areas as birth control for men, male infertility, testicular cancer and urinary tract infections for men

Have you even visited their web site to see the wide range of services they offer, or do you just trust Fox and believe they only do abortions and the morning after pill

in general health services for women they offer.....

General health care services vary by location. They may include

anemia testing
cholesterol screening
diabetes screening
physical exams, including for employment and sports
flu vaccines
help with quitting smoking
high blood pressure screening
tetanus vaccines
thyroid screening

Planned Parenthood health centers also offer sexual and reproductive health services.

As for Birth control they offer

Gosh abortion is not listed as a form of birth control...has anyone told Fox news

My Method
Compare Effectiveness of Birth Control Options
Abstinence (Gee even Sarah approves of this )
Birth Control Implant (Implanon and Nexplanon)
Birth Control Patch (Ortho Evra)
Birth Control Pills
Birth Control Shot (Depo-Provera)
Birth Control Sponge (Today Sponge)
Birth Control Vaginal Ring (NuvaRing)
Breastfeeding as Birth Control
Cervical Cap (FemCap)
Condom
Diaphragm
Female Condom
Fertility Awareness-Based Methods (FAMs)
IUD
Morning-After Pill (Emergency Contraception)
Outercourse
Spermicide
Sterilization for Women
Vasectomy
Withdrawal (Pull Out Method)

Fast reply

The topic is not about where the President of the US is from.

The topic is not about whether the President of the US drives or not.

Please return to the topic and the slight thread drift relating to the topic.

Thank you for being a part of CollarMe,

We don't hate it, we just don't think the government should be funding it, especially since the government funds a very small portion of PP's budget, with a shitload of strings attached.

once again, i'm not seeing what the big fuss is about. call me crazy, but congress has funded projects far more ridiculous and harmful than planned parenthood.

Because it goes against their core value.... abortions. PP provides those, even though its been proven that PP does not provide that service on the tax payers dime.

But...but...

The argument is that even though tax payer money isn't used to fund abortions, by having the tax payer money to pay for other things, they can use private donations for the abortions--without the tax payer money, the private donations would have to be used for general care, administrative costs and they wouldn't have enough to fund any abortions.

That's like saying my agency shouldn't get the grant they applied for in order to fund pay raises (we've been operating without even COLA's for the past 3 years) because there is something else my agency does that doesn't fit some ideology--I don't know that there is, but you get the picture. My agency's budget has been slashed by the state every year for the 10 years, at least. And we're constantly expected to do more and more with fewer funds.

No. Every county health department gives women access to contraceptives. And their "well woman exam." (I hate that euphemism.) They also have a sliding fee scale so income is not an issue.

Actually, I don't think my county health department gives contraceptives or "well woman exams", though I could be wrong. I'll have to check into that. We do have a number of clinics in the area that get county health department funding (if that's what you meant), but no PP.
