Besides an on-air stroke from Chris Mathews, that would have me tuning in to MSNBC for extra lolz, what reaction can be expected from the libs/left, if the President is soundly and unquestionably fired by the American people next Tuesday?

To see what will happen just go back 2 years when the republicans picked up 600 + seats in the 2010 elections. A lot of crying and a lot of dis belief..

Given polls since the first debate, it won't be a huge shock to this leftist.

I'll likely do two things:

-- remind myself that we got through Hoover, Nixon, Reagan, and both Bushes,

-- turn to the National Life section of the Book of Common Prayer. (I realize the inauguration won't be till January, but no point in tarrying to seek help.)

Not disbelief, Servant. 2010 was met with outright denial, and they won't have the luxury of pretending it didn't happen, this time. They will have to stare it right in the face.

I can understand disbelief about the 600+ seats gained, since there aren't that many in all of Congress. [:)]

Fantasy circlejerking boys?  What denial and what pretense?

We certainly denied that those teabaggers were fiscally responsible, and there is a pretense from the right that they are.  

Perhaps your dangling participles are not a pluperfect as you had prevaricated.

I think there will be a lot of crying and bs excuses not to mention a lot of claims of racism. This is one of the reasons I am going to enjoy this election. I honestly don't like either candidate but I can look forward to the bigots on the losing side having meltdowns due to the results.

The republicans gain just over 600 seats in 2010. These seats were both state and federal nationwide.

I don't believe the poster specified congress. Up and down ticket the gains were more than 1000 seats... One of the biggest electoral victories in history.

And absent voter fraud on the left - fully expected btw.. there is no way obama wins.
Quinnipiac had to adjust their poll figures yet again .. from d+6 to d+8 just to keep the annointed with a lead.

And, no I'm not a republican. Just an indie who would never, ever vote for Obama.
At least in watergate.. no one died.

At least in Iraq nobody found weapons of mass destruction.  It wasn't as if they weren't told.

So far the only proven voter fraud has been by republicans.

Wear a tin foil hat...it is said to have mysterious properties that ward off fraud,voter or otherwise(so it will keep your stocks and bonds safe too)[8|]

I've never had the gift for enjoying others' suffering, but maybe I'll try. It would be a welcome diversion from the bigots on the winning side trying to turn back my civil rights and filling seats on the Supreme Court.

My prediction is this.

If Obama loses, the reaction from the Left will be a helluva lot less than the reaction from the Right if he wins.

Please note that my prediction on Firm's thread is for a close Obama loss.
