I figure that we're all bigoted for the most part and it just manifests differently and to varying degrees...sometimes in an opposing manner and other times in a over-compensating inclusive way.

You are blaming the victims of US history when you try to draw that kind of moral equivalency.

they stil thinkl they are slaves....they think their poverty state is equivolant to what happened a 150 + yrs ago.

I am not a black , I am a Native American. I can tell you that what was done and is still being done to my people, to my tribe and those just like them ARE what is responsible for the poverty level of the Native American people especially those who live on reservation lands. If you don't think that people of other ethnic back grounds other than "white" don't have it harder in this country you are living in denial.

I didn't vote for Obama because he was black, I voted for him because of his actions, his views, and a huge part of it had to do with him trying to right some wrongs to tribes. His skin color or ethnic background were 150% irrelevant to ME.

Never mind how much of this supposedly "racial " split is actually class based.

Exactly.

Well what would be interesting is if the next election the Republicans fielded a black candidate and the Democrats fielded a white one. I'm pretty sure we would still see the same demographic patterns, unless people really want to believe that blacks and wealthy whites will vote against self-interest.

Since the civil rights era I believe only 4 black Republican congressman have ever been elected. In that same period, Democrats have elected more than 90 African-American congressmen and women. This despite the fact that you have many congressional districts that are predominantly black. In other words, if people believe blacks primarily care about voting black, then field black Republicans in black districts. But guess what. That's not enough. Imagine, that black people also look to what the candidate stands for! How preposterous.

Racism and bigotry are certainly not dead in your house...would you like for me to pull up a couple of dozen of your bigoted racist post that I have called you out on over the past six years?

Fox news had a couple of PPLs on their election night panel and one made a statement: "The fact that white people are voting for Romney at a 60% rate says that there's still a racial divide, in this country"

The "anchor" asked: "What about black people voting for the president in the 90 percentile?"

Thye PPL's answer was: "Well, I think ideologically, the president resonates with the people of the African American community ..."

So, 60% of white people vote for the person that speaks to them and it's racisn but 90% of all registered black voters vote for a socialist and there's no racism involved. Okay. I'm fully briefed.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

So what?
It's Fox News. I feel great pity for all the thought limited and enfeebled pseudo-intellectuals that still feel nourished by that informational sewer after this year.

(and it is mulatto, so; doubly wrong).

He is white.

Guys if I sounded like this before taking my break from the boards I'm sorry. RacerJim like I said to someone last night nasty insults kind of hurts you more than it helps. It makes people tune out your message before you ever get to the point (if you have one beyond name calling that is.)

Unfortunately, logical arguments get you labeled a racist when you have anything negative to say about the current failure-in-chief. Four years ago, I said on these boards that he was a likable, charasmatic guy but that I didn't think socialism was a good direction for our country. You guessed it. That made me a racist because I dared to say something in opposition to a man that happened to have slightly darker skin than I.

So, what it comes down to is that if you don't agree with the annointed, you're a racist (or worse). I don't care what color he is. He's a scumbag socialist that is dragging this country down to ruin.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I am almost positive you just did!

as to...

slvemike4u's post

I know exactly what I said.... but too bad... you and your ilk no longer get to guilt the United States of America for Slavery, Reconstruction or Jim Crow. That happened but it's over and we have evolved as a nation.

I know it will not stop you, I know the mantra of "rich white guys" control America fits the agenda of the Democrat Party and the American Left but it's done.

The electorate of America has spoken now and forever... the candidate matters not the color of the candidate's skin

You are full of shit, and everything you just wrote here,as it concerns me,is full of shit and a distortion of my views.
Not sure whether or not Owner intended what you feel he intended...and I wouldn't think of speaking for him, like you just did for me,but yeah...you most certainly are what you are afraid folks are accusing you of being

Now if you can figure out what I just said....there you are,run with that.

This country, it's economic state was already in shambles when he took office. IMO he's been cleaning up other people's messes for a large part of his last term.

So why dont ya put the blame where the blame belongs.

Perhaps in 2008 they were. At this point, I think they are just re-checking their ammo stores and continuing with their target practice.

The notion that anybody can claim racism isn't an issue in American politics after some of the nonsense we've been listening to about the Kenyan since 2008 is hilarious.
If people are going to seriously try to argue that after the last four year, I wonder how they manage to tie their own shoelaces or shave without slitting their throats...

The spectacle of white people bitching about 'reverse' racism is embarrassing to say the least.

Don't you just cringe when that shit gets offered ?

There are people like that on both sides. There are some people who will not be swayed in any way. They are the lock step zombies of the party they follow. I know I was one of them for years. I believed what I was taught to believe. If it had an R by it's name it got my vote. I'm not like that any more. I ~gasp~ read and study up and make my choices with ALOT more care.

When people on either side stop talking about issues and fall to the muck slinging I tune out and I'm guessing alot of other people do as well.

Agreed. Such a claim is utterly ridiculous. Multi-racial people argue and discriminate based on type and degree of mixing. Bigotry will be around as long as the human race is in existence.

Since 1936, between 71% and 94% of black voters have voted for the Democratic party. Lyndon Johnson received a higher percentage of the black vote in 1964 (surpassing even the percentage that Obama did yesterday). And for those unaware, Lyndon Johnson is white. To me the numbers we see reflect the fact that blacks historically vote Democrat, and really nothing more. Otherwise, why is Johnson getting more black vote than Obama?

Carter won in 1976 with 48% of the white vote. Clinton won in 1992 with only 39% of the white vote. Whites do not historically vote for Democrats.

What conclusions can you reasonably draw from these actual facts within their historical context. I draw the conclusion that historically, whites vote predominantly Republican. And when we break down the white vote, what we see historically is that privileged white males almost always vote Republican. Working class whites, and white women tend to split more evenly between the parties. Given the Republican party platform, this should hardly shock anyone. People of privilege who want to protect their own and not share with others vote for the party that promises to deliver exactly that.

Blacks are not voting for Obama because he is black. They are voting for him because he is a Democrat.

Whites are not voting for Romney because he is white. They are voting for him because he is a Republican.

The one conclusion I can draw is that a lot of whites are just not into compassion or sharing or sense of community. I guess they were never taught that value in either their elite private school or their wealthy neighborhood public playgrounds. Oh that's right, they didn't have to share because everyone had a lot of stuff already. Oh, and until 1954, blacks weren't even allowed to go to schools with whites. Got it. I'm fully briefed now, too.

You can keep pointing this out, over and over again....and it still won't sink in.
Some idiot will come along and suggest that the large % of blacks voting for Obama proves a racism or some such rot.
It's all so much white noise,it's an idiots stock in trade

No, not racist, not for that bit of asswipe. You have been called misinformed and ignorant, I suspect even a liar here,  and it has been repeatedly pointed out to you that you haven't any idea what socialism is.

I don't see where calling someone a socialist (when the facts back you up) is muck-slinging but each to their own. I'd rather lose a few more fingertips than help keep this country on the path to totalitarian socialism.

But that wasn't the point. The point was: when I disagreed with the man's politics, it had to be because I was a racist. This failure-in-chief has enjoyed such a honeymoon period from the sheeple on the left, it's amazing to me that he's not wearing a crown.

Peace and comfort,

Michael
