lol.... gotta love it. Debating an idea or a notion isnt making a mountain out of anything. But I can see thats how you chose to view things when called upon the words you post.

You decided to define stockpiling as someone with more than 1 or 2 guns which indicated they are either mentally ill or paranoid. That may not have been your intent... but that IS what you posted. Which is patently wrong. Most here would have agreed they should have said something else then cleared up their meaning.

...yes, i think civilians outside of the military who stockpile weapons tactically are paranoid nuts. my personal belief is that owning more than one or two guns is overkill. obviously, you don't share that opinion, which is fine. i never said, nor do i think, that people who collect guns as a hobby are nuts.

i believe you are reading far more intent into my post than is necessary. once again, when you take the entire post, not just the part that you're picking at, i am talking specifically about stockpiling. how many times do i have to repeat that i'm not talking about regular gun collectors before it sinks in?

That's precisely the crux of the matter. If society collapses, the earth hardly stops spinning. Anarchy prevails and then new governments take form which aren't necessarily as liberated socially, economically, etc. Since things are so personal here though, I won't begrudge the insiders enjoying the joke.
