Dom's are men. And presented with fresh meat for the beast we can sometimes let our lust get carried away with us. Just like any other man. Contrary to popular understanding our 'God's walkign the earth' style powers only extend so far....but more than one Dom has accidently taken on a cute sub who turned out to be the worst kind of mistake....

In fact there have been several newspaper stories where exactly that has happened. (What do you mean she wanted to be tied down and used for days at a time? Oh you have signed letters to that effect????!? Ummmmm let me call the lawyers....)

Domme's may or may not have this issue I'd have to ask one ;-)

Status: offline 		I think it falls into three categories:

1) Those who are naturally alpha or dominant that are used to keeping themselves in control. They feel the urge to keep the good feelings going, but tend to keep a level head. They may give it free rein now and then.

2) Those who may be naturally alpha or dominant that haven't learned impulse control yet. They tend to give into the urge to keep the good feelings going, but may also be mixed with keeping a level head.

3) Those who aren't really dominant, but use the roles because of residual anger, insecurity or other issues. They don't really have "frenzy" but enjoy the ego stroking they receive from the role. They tend to do everything they can to get their egos stroked, even if it means hurting or taking advantage of someone else.

Of course, there are variations on those categories, but that's been my observation watching the interactions in the Los Angeles community, which gave me a large base of people to observe.

But I have heard my Domme friends bemoaning why they ever got involved with one sub or another. So maybe. But I'm sure one of the Ladies will be along shortly. Or a Domme. Whichever comes first. <ducks and runs for cover>

I even lost all control...

Happened earlier this year at a munch held at a gay leather bar. I was there with a Domme I knew, she was yanking my,chain and there was that sexual chemistry in the air. I wasnt attracted to her but still, that energy was crackling, almost tangible.

I grabbed her hair, bent her over the bar, raped her mouth with mine and suddenly we were aline in,the,universe, time slowed down and she ended up at my feet. I shouldnt have done it although she thought it was amazing but in my heart of hearts I knew it was wrong, but for that moment...OH GOD!

Looking back, that sort of kiss tends to be a litmiss test. One of the great loves of my life, Jewish, brilliant, etc was someone I had met at a munch. I wasnt seeing,her as a potential partner, she was an experienced Domme but we enjoyed each others intellect. One night we were at a favorite dive bar and she did that "thing" that submissive look, eyes half raised, looking up at me and I took her right there at the bar
. We lived together for years and are still dear friends, I even went to her wedding.

Yes it happens, lust isn't just a guy thing. For me its when I'm in the groove with a new(er) partner & have to restrain what I'd really like to do to them. Baboon ass the first time out...generally a bad idea. I will find myself holding back the first few times out the gate until I find out what they really can take.

Status: offline 		The flip answer to this question is, of course not ! Only a crappy dom (sorry Michael) would lose control to the extent he or she succumbed to frenzy. A dom should have control over their lusts and not think with their dick or their pussy.

Although theoretically that's true, doms actually aren't hatched fully formed with all the skills and experience necessary to be 'the perfect dominant' right off the bat (you heard it here first, folks).

Its a process like any other and takes time and accumulated experience to achieve control over your own lusts. Which means from a practical standpoint, I would say most dominants have experienced some form of frenzy. If you haven't experienced it, how will you learn the steps you need to take to control it?

Status: offline 		All kidding aside, there is a gulf between experiencing an emotion and acting on it. Just as there is a difference knowing timing and intensity.

What we do is about walking along the edge of experience, to explore places.that are full of risks. Knowing and choosing the right part.er to explore with is crucial.

Many of the issues we see here daily have more to do with people unused to seperating experiencing an emotuon and acting on it. The hurt that, for example, that can accompany jealousy often makes people do stupid shit. Then the other partner responds to the attack rather than having the ability to see it was hurt that caused the attack and to take the person in,their arms and comfort them. Took me years to achieve that.

As to frenzi, experiencing it with the right person, letting it flow without check can be amazing. Doing,it with,the wrong person or in the wrong way...disasterous!

Status: offline 		The ability to separate feeling an emotion from acting on the feeling of an emotion is what's called emotional maturity. Most adults have it to some extent (some way more than others).

As you point out, there is also knowing what emotions to control, when, with who, there's much to learn here. A dominant too much in control will seem to lack passion, and experiencing passion is (to me) essential to a full enjoyment of life.

There must be a balance between the two, and achieving that takes time and experience, and having made errors of judgement along the way to learn from.

Do I? Not until I know it is the right thing to do. Have I done it before? Yes... long ago, when I thought a hunt was fun and had less important things in mind, but I was never out of control. I meant exactly what I did and was fully aware of the ramifications or what could happen.

and the lusty talk.......hee hee, and I really wasnt talking lust completely, so those answers are a bonus hahaha.

I guess though someone rushing things etc, could be lust too.

Such as someone who claims to be a Dom but tries to rush things, like owning a person before its time, tryng to control before its time etc. I also mean a well meaning one too, not really faking but seem to almost too excited, if you can understand what I mean by that.
