Not until you marginalize the Yankee influence in your government. As long as you pay any attention to the WASP criollos in New England, and the NE of your nation, you will be problem, instead of the solution. You only need to read the writings of national socialists among the Yankees (English-Americans in the North East part of your nation) here to see the problem.

The hemp fueled Massachusetts college instructor and the OWS neanderthal from Maine typify who your problem is, From the Bush clan on through their inbred cousins mopping floors or fishing for subsistence.

There is a reason the English exiled these Yankee rejects from their lands.

Unfortunately for the above-mentioned, your president Obama actually knows what he is trying to do, that is why the United States and Israel are currently at odds with each other.

There are signs that the once unbreakable alliance between Israel and the US is showing signs of stress.

It is clear that Obama is far less inclined to indulge the Israelis than some of his predecessors. Among the governing elite or 'permanent government' as some call it there is widespread acceptance that the alliance brings far more negatives to the US than positives. I've seen surveys that indicate 75% of decision makers hold this view.

The once solid monolith of American Jewish unquestioning support for Israel is cracking. AIPAC is being challenged by J Street. Anerican Jews with a long and commendable history of supporting human rights are increasingly open in their criticisms of Israeli policy. There are signs that the discussion of the Occupation, human rights and Palestinian self determination are shifting from the margins of American Jewish communities to the centre. New independent thinkers like Peter Beinart are emerging and increasingly influential. Younger American Jews, repulsed by the abuses and atrocities are turning their backs on Israel in droves.

The controversy at the recent Democratic convention over supporting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is another indicator of growing disenchantment with Israel excesses. The mainstream Protestant churches are adopting pro-boycott stances as the BDS movement goes from strength to strength. Even here on CM, I've noticed a significant shift in attitudes away from Israel and towards the Palestinians since I began posting here.

There's a long long way to go but sooner or later all these trends will coalesce and a critical mass will be formed. The only thing that can prevent this is significant positive changes in Israeli policy and behaviour - which is the whole point.

So you don't think the New York and New England corporate and financial gangsters have anything to do with the United States slavish support of Israel? Who in large part has commanded and staffed the United States Foreign Ministry (State Department, and the various associates) and intelligence agencies for many generations, but the Ivy League Anglo upper caste?

Do you think the motivators and supporters of Israel in the United States are fast food and agricultural workers?

Different topic from the ceasefire, not that you would understand that.

But lets say you are right....... Are you still going to suggest all Muslims are Islamists and support the Muslim Brotherhood, given they are standing up to Morsi`s blatant attempt at a total power grab ? After all thats what you and others have been spouting since the Egyptian rebellion.
