FR, I hit Menard's for some things for the house and it was stupid packed. I was surprised, actually. I wouldn't have thought that a DIY store would have drawn the crowds it did (it was also early afternoon and not the early bird stuff). They had an ass load of workers that day, too; possibly even twice as many as usual. I don't like crowds. I also don't care for the super early openings, though it's their business and the can make the choices they want. In general, you won't find me standing out in the cold waiting for a place to open hours later. Everyone has a choice to make. If they want places opening earlier and earlier, they can keep going to the earlier and earlier openings. Believe me though, if it wasn't profitable for them to open that early, they wouldn't do it. If people wouldn't chase the sales, they wouldn't have them. Obviously, they feel the demand is there.
