I shave my head, and that's enough. I would not want my woman to have a shaved head, and I certainly wouldn't inflict it upon her. I tend to prefer long hair anyway, though some look good with short hair.

I have shaved my head half way up the back before, but thats usually when I was cutting my hair off to donate to the cancer socitey. As for right now my hair reaches my butt and I enjoy it long. But as for the OP no I'm not opposed to shaving ( part ) of my head and have routinely done it every 3-4 years.

I have a short pixie-type cut, about 2 inches long and tapered down the back of my neck (just had it re-cut yesterday). I've had this type of cut since I was 17 - 30 years ago. If my head were to be shaved I doubt it would take long to grow back so it wouldn't worry me much.[:)]

Evenn though it's short Master can still grab hold of it, though He does prefer it a little longer for a better grip [;)]

I'm a long-hair afficanado and I love pulling hair. As long as they have enough to grip I'm
ok. If a woman wants to go bald that's her choice but she won't be my choice.

Shave my head? No need. hehehe I'm folically challanged.

I have to agree as a punishment it seems a bit harsh.

However, I let my son shave my head when he was having brain surgery. I loved the ease of it and keep it between 1 and 3 inches long at the longest point. However, my hair grows fast and I have to cut it every 3 months to maintain it.

Now if the woman agreed to have her head shaved for any reason I say go for it. But not as a punishment.

I'd agree with the general view in that shaven head, fine if both parties are into it but as a punishment, no way -
The kind of girl i am, if I step out of line it is his displeasure that is my true punishment, that is the worst feeling on earth, for me the actual act of punishment itself is as RavenMuse pointed out a type of closure, it brings a redemption and a clean slate and when the punishment is over all is forgiven.
If my head were shaved as a punisment then there would be no redemption as such until it was over, over meaning that every time I looked into the mirror and saw myself it would remind me that I was still undergoing *punishment* as it were, and the years it would take for my hair to grow back is a very long time to be punished for an offense, also I think there would be a very negative impact on my self esteem.
Still, as trippingdaisy pointed out, If I did something that was so very awful that he felt it necessary even after cooling off and thinking things through then I would submit to it.

I also want my woman to have enough hair to pull.  A woman with a bald head is not my thing. 

I would consider shaving a woman's head a severe form of humilation.  There are some women who can and will get off on it, but I believe they are the minority.

I am with perverse - I do not see it as a punishment persay.
To me, it is more a control technique and a symbolic gesture.
Some people it suits, some it may not - I prefere longer hair but shaved is much easier!

It does seem a bit extreme to me also...as a punishment.  It would take months, maybe even years, to grow back to the original length.  I can't see me ever wanting it done.  In my profession, I think it would simply cause too many problems.  Now, if it occurred naturally, that's a different matter (I mean as a result of some illness or treatment...not that that is "natural", but I meant it was not something that was done to me).

Shaved Domme here. I love the beauty that it reveals, My uniqueness and so do most males and some females I've encounterd. However I agree this would be a harsh punishment.

Because of my monastary training, I keep my head shaved or very closely cropped. It works well (and prevents "bad hair days" at work when I'm biking to work -- the motorcycle helmet can't do much damage to close-cropped hair *grins*).

I like the look on both women and men, though my mate and I have to share and I try not to be greedy, since she tends to enjoy long hair on both genders.

As far as being a punishment, we've only tried to use it that way once -- but when the individual in question discovered the advantages of a shaved head, and realized how attractive it looked, it became a treat rather than a punishment... some things just go that way.

While I do agree that the punishment is up to the Master in question.. I also believe that a Master must protect the emotional being of His Owned.  I will take any punishment He sees fit..but for me..having my head shaved would be too much.  It has taken me years to grow it (years..really..it grows soooo slow) that it would devastate me to have to shave it off as a punishment.  I do like short hair..and don't mind shaved..but I know for me..the shaved is not an option for any type of punishment.  Some ppl do look good in it though.. so I don't knock it for them.. or if I had someone going thru chemo.. I might do it to help them feel more comfortable...but not for any other reason I can think of.  Yes.. TPE...but with that comes personable responsibility..and my Sir having me do that.. would be such a devastating thing..that would go out the window.  To have swift justice...and to not like the punishment is the point..not to leave your poor sub/slave traumatized for many months to come.

That or talk with your Dom to make sure He knows how devastating that would be.  Also, I can't imagine any Dom/Owner who would knowingly cause His sub/property problems with the job.  To me, that isn't very responsible.

i know i am back on my soap box, but if you are a dom, or master and you are thinking of shaving you slave's hair, dont, my ex-master what seems along time ago, threaten me with that punishment, to the point that it cause such a panic attack in me,  i was scared every time we were suppose to be together.  For this slave there are not many things that are pretty about, her, or that makes her feel good about herself. but her hair is one thing that does, when it brush, and fix, i do feel pertty, to me it gives me reason to dress nice, to even wear make-up at times, and even though like me it is not showing age of time by growing a bit grey, it is still a part of me,  lastly, i wish to quote from a very special book "a woman's hair is crown and glory, it is a part of beauty, "
