I just made butter (OMG I KNOW) and so I have a large jug of buttermilk. Any suggestions what I should make with it? Seems a shame to waste it.

Drink it and eat potatoes. Didn't the Irish live off of that?

I want to know how you made the butter and how it tastes!

Wow, I am so impressed on the butter making.

Buttermilk is great for baking anything from chocolate cake to biscuits to cornbread to pancakes.

I've never really come across buttermilk as an ingredient in English baking so I'm a bit stumped. I remember trying to buy some for an American recipe once and not being able to find it in any of our supermarkets, so it's not common. Do you just use it as you would use regular milk in a recipe? I hear mention of buttermilk pancakes and waffles and they sound delicious, I want some delicious!

Chatte - it was so very easy, I can see me making a lot of it. Much easier than I thought.

Athena. Use the same amount that you would regular milk.
Biscuits, cakes, pancakes, anything you batter to fry.

If you have a chronic disease, feed it to the pigs or throw it away. If not, you can consume it.

Because that's the common european logic for why something that cooked tastes so go is VERY commonly thrown to pigs as bi-product

I guess you simply mistook buttermilk for whey.
