He may actually believe what he is saying, that does not mean he is a nutjob. You cant even have a moment of silence in schools for the students to pray or meditate as per their beliefs, what harm would that be?

He may believe what he is saying and that does make him a nutjob since what he is saying is factually incorrect.

Many have such faith in guns. The two catastrophic wars of the 20th century began with an arms race and the idea if you could defend yourself against you enemy you would be safe. 100 million dead later............people are still fucking idiots.

This is very true, but there's a wingnut element of the NRA as well. Hell, I'm sure you'll get a few people who belong to both groups, come to that.
