It is indeed possible to make such a point,indeed it is a point that NEEDS to be made...but I have been here for close to 5 days...and I assure you that wasn't the intention of the OP. Marini ,I don't care what the color of these kids were. If that had been a predominately black school,not one less tear would have been shed.....my outrage would have been as off the charts These were 20 kids....6 and 7 years old The enormity of that statement ,makes anything after it,including and especially color,totally moot. What stories the media finds worthy of coverage is indeed interesting ,but it says more about us,their audience than it does them. Above and beyond that the slow steady drip,drip,drip aspect of young,little black children getting hit by stray bullets inure all of us to this shameful fact. Given all of that though,had this been an inner city school...the coverage would be as immense,the grief as intense...the outcry as loud and the call for action just as acute. 20 children,shot on one morning by one madman is still.......20 children.White,brown,black,yellow....I can not look at my fellow citizens and think any different. 20 children.....unfortunately says it all.
