ORIGINAL: poise Now that I have your attention...... As I was meticulously washing dishes this evening, it occurred to me that, at a mere 99 cents for a small bottle of top quality dish soap, I could well afford to buy 5 a day, and still have money to spare! Of course, I would never need to use 5 a day, and I usually buy no more than 2 a week, but the point is, even if I had 50 bottles under the sink, why oh why, when the bottle is half empty, do I automatically unscrew the cap and water it down to extend it's use? Do any of you have really quirky and unnecessary habits, or am I to suffer being freaky all alone? I do the same thing when it's down to the bottom. There's a whole "nother" use or two in that bottle. I do that with shampoo and conditioner too. Same thing with laundry soap; when you think the bottle is empty, you can actually put water in it and get another loads worth of soap out of it. And if I use aluminum foil to cover leftovers and it doesn't get dirty, I'll save it and reuse it to line a baking pan when I'm making a chicken or something. I'll reuse plastic bags that dry items came in. Say I bag a few tomatoes at the store...after the tomatoes are used, I save the bag and use it to bag and freeze something. And that's just the beginning. I also cut tubes to get the remainder of the cream or ointment out; there's at least 2-3 more uses in there. I also use old t-shirts for cleaning rags, and the list goes on. I detest wastefulness. It makes me feel gluttonous.
