You're on a kink site with opinionated people and we are afraid to tell you if we disagree. If you want pats on the head and lumps of sugar then you might have the wrong site for that. No one has threatened to physically attack you. No one has from what I can see called you any names. They have though pressed you about your ideas, pointed out to you where they think you went wrong. And how they think you went wrong. This is pretty damn civil actually.

Where's the attack? I see one person with one opinion, and some others with another opinion. Both sides are pointing out what they consider to be important facets in the debate. Maybe it feels like an attack to you because no one else seems to share your opinion that spider pictures should censored from the general public. Even some people with arachnophobia have posted, they don't feel that spider pictures should be censored from public even though they don't like the pictures themselves. Where are these insults, threats, and outright hostility?

I think it's terrible that those poor people have been persecuted for so long by having avatars pop up right in their face containing their trigger - which might result in a heart attack. Some phobias need to be guarded, and some can apparently go to hell.
