I'm going to inform you on the greatest activities with chicks that have big boobies..motor boating is when you (a male) puts your head in the cleavage and starts shaking your head in a "no" movement and making motor sounds with your mouth...brrrbbrrrbrrrrbrrrbbrrr

Females can do that too, ya know?[;)]

please do, I need a vacation [X(]

Wow. Your definition of "cunt" and mine are really different. They were the cunts, hands down. Reporting their bullshit sure wasn't. On that, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
luci

Agreed there, for sure.

And jeez, everybody...I really wasn't intending to be calling anyone in particular a cunt. I see it came out that way, and I apologize for that. What I was doing was just wrapping up my post by tying it into what I mentioned in the first half of my post about how I had to ask Heather/Hannah to not call me a cunt in their response to me. Yes, yes, irony is delicious. Shush.

However, though the wording may have been unduly harsh, my feelings are unchanged. I will re-word. If someone were to report a user that was obviously entrenched in debate with another user just because said someone didn't want to scroll down, yes, I would find that user's choice to do so to be less than favorable.

Better? (And yet still mildly acidic?)

Nothing weak about reporting, when needed. There have been major issues of trolling on some great threads. When people are trying to learn, it's kinda rude and childish to toll. To me, if we all were in or at a BDSM class and some jerk started spouting off some bullshit (and I say bullshit bc that is what it was. It wasn't a healthy disagreement, it was a temper tantrum) the people actually attempting to learn would be pissed. That's how I tend to view things here, I certainly can learn a lot from people, and have.

In this particular forum, the only thing we can do when this happens is either report or hide, or both. Nothing

Not only would others present be pissed but a DM or club manager with a grain of salt would kick them out.

PERIOD.

in real life adults in the class would tell them to shut up, and not be penalised for doing so.

taking what level wrote i don't seem to be reading it the same way as everyone else.

I meant that it isnt weak to speak or act AGAINST rules, guidelines, or laws, if your conscience compels you to. I think you may be the one that got it.

I agree with both of you. I would be the one to ask someone to shut up. For someone to think its weak, is probably the one I'd be asking to shut up. :)

You are right we are all adults, not kids on the playground.

No one has the right to come here and bully me.
Amen my sister!

No, they aren't laying hands on me.
Lets be honest that isn't the only abuse someone can inflict.
I am also pretty damn thick skinned.
That doesn't mean I should have to take it or will.

I do consider me reporting abuse of MYSELF to the mods the same as reporting to the police that my neighbor is beating his wifey.
Why?
It's still abuse.
It's still violates rules and MY rights.
Preach!
You (as an example) do not have the right to post, LilSquaw is a fat cunt who needs to simply fuck off and die.
That is you (as an example) being a bully and abusive.
No different than the bully on the school yard or the man who needs to beat his wifey to feel like a man.

You're right I don't know anyone who has NEVER broken a law.
In fact I know many ex cons and career criminals.
Do I choose to MY time with them?
Nope.
Not because they are ex cons.
But because I can't simply turn a blind eye to certain things.
Because to ME to do so means I am condoning it.
I make a conscious choice not to knowingly or willfully violate laws.

I TRY not knowingly and willfully violates rules of forums and sites I am member of.

Huggles the LilSquaw/my neighbor!
Let's face it, 90% of the people that report others, won't even post here.
Thank you for stepping up, and stating your case very well.

This is my lil playground/cheers bar!
Cheers to you Sweet Feet!

If people don't like the rules here, tuff titties, no one is forcing anyone to
come here.
I may be the first to say this, but overall I think the rules are rather liberal!

Peace

I agree most who report wont post here.
I am far from perfect but I do own my shit. Lol

Thanks!!
As I said before, I RARELY report anyone.
Usually if I hit the report button, the person could be near berserk and need medical attention.

But the point is, I can.

I have no problem telling them to shut up, or kicking them in the nuts, it's the "run to teacher" mindset I don't care for so much. But there ARE times that the report button is useful, but we'll never all agree on that. Meh.

Bottom line, I don't let too much of it bug me. I like you, and NV, and other pro-reportish folk, that's what matters.

FR

Can't recall if I've ever reported anyone on this site yet.. (especially since I have been away from forums for 6+ months :P) but have on other fora. I will say that I won't hesitate to report someone or something if it's warranted--Clearly illegal activities, such as posting child porn, or clear violations of the site's ToS, et cetera. Merely distasteful or bad manners, however.. Well, I'm male, I'm already trained in the art of selective hearing/reading! And I either ignore it, or if I can't ignore it, shoot back with my own sarcasm.. This includes things like trolling (as in trawling--posting clearly inflamatory posts to get a reaction out of people), name calling, and even personal attacks and name calling--But NOT including libel/slander campaigns against others..

In fact, in irony, that's what brought me here tonight.. I wanted to ask the mods what IS CM's policy on such tactics, such as creating and posting "blacklists" or "walls of shame" which directly name other users, and such? I might indeed have to report someone within the next few hours.. :P

Lynnxz -> RE: Lets be honest have you ever reported anyone (1/15/2013 9:03:05 PM)

Ugh. No blacklists dude. You don't even know if you're right or not.

First rule of moderation should be, "No back seat moderating."

Now you're just repeating the same point you've made before. Of course adults don't run to mommy. I can assure you that I have never run to my mommy over a post on this forum - Although if I did, I am certain she'd give me milk and biscuits. It's clear you liken reporting a post to "running to mommy", whereas I do not. We disagree.
Of course it's running to mommy. It's appealing to a higher power to come in and save you from the conversation with the nasty man because you can't deal with it yourself.

Unless you're reporting something which is ACTUALLY against the TOS - rather than the forum guidelines - then the probability is that you're simply asking for someone to intervene because you haven't got the stones to handle the situation yourself. It's either behaving like a child or a weakling, but it's difficult to see it as anything other than that.

Mods are not my mommy.
Well that's reassuring. Bias is bad enough, but outright nepotism would probably start another 60 page thread.

quote:

Saying because I go to the mods when someone violates the rules / guidelines of the site makes we weak.

Is like saying, if I call the police if I hear my neighbor beating the hell out of his wifey I am weak.
Yes, because someone talking smack on a message board is really the same AS A MAN BEATING HIS WIFE. Wow! Great analogy! Do you have any more arguments of this caliber up your sleeve? Because if this is the extent of your powers of analysis, nothing but squealing to the mods for help is going to save you from being mercilessly mocked for your utter lack of logic and reason.

quote:

Or that kid that goes to a school admin and reports a bully is weak.
He is. And the social system of the playground will punish him for doing so. Someone bullies you, you deal with them yourself. Calling for help will mark you as weak and you'll be a target forever after. This principle extends throughout all social arenas in life. From the playground, to the workforce, to the sports field, to prison. Your social naivety on this is point is astounding.

quote:

GTFOH
GFYYSS.

quote:

To ME not being able to follow guidelines and rules makes someone weak.
It tells me they lack self control.
And frankly if you don't have self control -
You sure in the hell don't have the ability to control others.
More 'logic' again? Look, I really suggest you try and stay away from constructing a rational argument. It is demonstrably not your strong suit.

People who didn't follow guidelines and rules:

Joan of Arc
Ghengis Khan
Jesus Christ
Leonidas
Alexander the Great
Marco Polo
Albert Einstein
Bruce Lee
Ghandi
Martin Luther
Martin Luther King Jr.

Frankly, I think I'm in good company.

For the sake of humanity, can someone please post something which actually makes a fucking lick of sense?
