I see the other extreme sides are coming out again. When the smoke settles from all the flaming of extreme positions that do not provide anything close to a solution, tell the rest of us normal people that are looking for workable solutions. ;)

why not put it up to a vote of the people? what is the percentage of folks who want un-controled guns, and those that want some sort of rational thought put into what kind of guns and magazines are needed. I think that the gun owners and guns rights people would be in a serious minority. so, why does the minority control this issue over the majority of americans who want some kind of gun control

Now that you have admitted that ?% of gun sales are unreported......be that 20...30....or 40%

What are the non-NRAers.............the normal folks, to do?

IMHO....the extremist should be cut out of the discussion and probably will......in the end.

Who is calling for uncontrolled guns? I have yet to read anyone here doing that.

So whats your point ? Tell us all something we don't know.

Well, there`s a new lunatic fringe effort to say that the AR-15 was left in the car and not used in the killing of 20 UMs.......Facebook is poping with the posts.

The MSM is "trying to politicize" the story by purposely making misstatements......

In their paranoia.....in this case, the MSM is demonizing the poor assault rifle and 30 the round clips.....poor bushmaster....so put upon....

Just disabusing a few nuts of their ignorance...... is all ....

If there is a current story in the news that the AR was in the car repeating it doesn't make you a nutcase

Normal folks despise anyone who is breaking their necks to arm the crazies to the teeth.....ie.... the NRA.

Got it?

So you say the NRA wants to arm Crazies ? I don't get it or I don't get where you got it. What crazies are they seeking to arm ? Got a link or something to prove that ?

The NRA seeks to get crazies off the street and out of polite society, institutionalize them and keep them there. I have proof of that too. If I thought you were really interested aside from your hyperbolic BS I would even post a link or 2.

Normal folks would take a moment to educate themselves on what the NRA is all about and wouldn't say rediculas shit like that.

Bullshit, the NRA(aka as gun manufacturers)want nothing more than to convince everyone that the "crazies" are already armed....and that each and every citizen must arm themselves in response.

Look, I am about to leave to go to a neighbor's horse farm to deal with a large number of wild hogs. I am taking 20 large cap mags in two calibers, ten of each.

Now those who want large cap mags banned, I will cordially invite you to go with me on a hog hunt, and give you a weapon with a ten round mag and see just how effective you are in the situation.

Do you really think the drug gangs, bank robbers, rapists, organized crime types along with the lunatics, woman butchering maniacs and other assorted crazies will disarm if they only pass some kind of gun ban law ? They won't disarm, and the only ones effected by such laws do not pose a threat to anyone. A fraction of a percent of the semi autos out there in private hands are a problem yet you want to go after all of them and smear their owners and the NRA. That's what's freakin crazy.

You paint a false picture of the NRA and wrap it all up into your neat little distorted view or a view which you have formed from all the venomous and slanderous anti NRA talking points. What's crazy and extreme is the fact that the gun grabbers would goolishly use such a horrible tragedy to further their political aims to pass useless gun laws that won't solve the problems they are supposed to address.

False arguement....no one says that crime will end b/c of the coming assult weapons ban.

We used to have an intolerable amount of drunk driving deaths.....till we got smart and turned those numbers around.

We didn`t have to ban booze to do that.

Will we completely eliminate drunk driving deaths?

No....no one ever said that or suggested that stricter booze laws would eliminate drunk driving. That NOT a reason NOT to do anything....

No one is suggesting that stricter gun rules will eliminate gun deaths....or gun crime.....but again...that`s no reason NOT to do something about reducing gun deaths and gun crimes.

Claiming that that`s being suggested, is just more rightist bull shit...

That's a false argument. Did you not get the gist of what lovmuffin said? The only gun owners you are going to effect are the ones who aren't likely to be a problem in the first place. It would be like placing much higher restrictions, increased regulatory costs, and mountains of paperwork on teetotalers to reduce drunk driving incidents. The target group isn't the group that is the problem.

Drunk drivers, especially repeat offenders chose to drink and then chose to drive. Being drunk impairs reaction time, speed, awareness, vision, etc. That makes it more difficult to safely operate a motor vehicle. Owning a gun does not make it more difficult to safely use a gun. What did we do to lower drunk driving incidents? Did we ban the sale of Jack Daniels black label?

Let me see if I'm following your logic. You say banning semi automatics won't solve the gun crime problem but we should do it anyway because we need to do something even if that something is pretty much useless.

Got it.
