I've been contacted by Mistresses on some occassions and I started to ask myself that do Mistresses really do that? Or that task is just reserved for slaves? I mean I've always pictured Them attracting slaves not contacting them.

What do you mean by " real"?

A person can contact or not, doesn't make them less real. I do not contact males, I get enough email from them already.

From the sheer numbers i would say not very likely. The ration of female dominant to male masochist on this site, is anywhere around 1/100, to 1/300. Most of female dominants are in it for the money, or alternatively just some older (or very unattractive women) in hope to get younger/much better looking guys (which without it being female dominant they never would, quite a smart strategy). I'm not saying all of them are like this. But you have more chance to get struck by a lightning, than to get contacted by a genuine dom that doesn't fall into the above categories.

If I find someone interesting I will send an email even though the sign on my door says local only. Doesn't mean if I'm attracted to someone the local part can't get worked out if I'm interested enough. Those begging at the door are normally blocked unless they somehow perform circus tricks in the first email

From time to time ... a Real Domme ... will reach out to you. Could be something written in your profile ... or if you use them, the message boards.

But most of the time, those reaching out to you, are running a scam of some form. You need to learn how to distinguish between the real and the scam by reading closely, and not looking at pictures. LOL

That said, my advice is, when any REAL Woman .. Domme or vanilla ... reaches out to you, pay a LOT of attention. Women choose men ... even if Dom's don't believe it! LOL

That is why it is so important to learn to distinguish real from the scam ... online!

Well, I know I'm no supermodel but dayum...didn't realize I was just here to get a young hottie who wouldn't touch me with a 10 foot pole unless I spanked his ass. </snark>

That aside, if I find a profile that really impresses me, I'll send an email. I never expect it to go anywhere (especially if it's not local) but I like to think I'm brightening someone's day. Last gent I did this with it was because he posted some of his art and it was beautiful. He thanked me for my compliments, directed me to more of his work and that was that. And if there was someone local who seemed to be compatible you bet your ass I'd message him. Considering how few compatible guys I come across I'm not going to let one slip through my fingers because it's not "Domly" to make the first move. Having said that I've heard male subs who say that it should be the Dom/me messaging the sub because they're the ones who are supposed to be in control. So you see, there's no "one twue way" and despite what labels we put on ourselves we're all just people.

I looked across this thread and saw four sub males that I've sent a note or two. Every time, it's been because they have said something on the forums that I thought was clever or it made Me smile in some way. Every time, they have been pleasant and interesting to exchange messages with. If I had the chance, I'd ask any of them to dinner.

There really are chicks out there who are attracted to a good personality first.

I would agree with some of the other posts and say that I have zero problem being the one to take the first step if I run across someone I'm interested in (and in whatever capacity be it friends, romantic, play etc). But yeah, at the same time, most women on here are going to get a lot of email anyway so it can tend to make you send out fewer notes simply because of time/energy limits.

It's not a matter of "real" or not. It's a matter of some dominant females choose to do one thing, others choose to do another thing, and some choose to do both.

Also, something to consider: we get the opposite point of view around here (and similar sites) a lot - that if a woman is a Real mistress then she pursues slaves and doesn't let them pursue her, because by virtue of being a dominant female she should engage in the hunt.

Which is just silly, just like being real means one doesn't pursue. A mistress does what she feels is right for her, what approach she prefers to take to meeting slaves.

My personal style? I do a mix of contacting and letting myself be contacted. I usually let others come to me, but lately I've been contacting folks first a lot because I'm moving and trying to make new friends and potential partners in my soon-to-be home area.

So, which approach I take depends on my mood and what feels fitting to me at the time... sometimes that means I contact a few interesting people in one day... and sometimes it means I contact no one and let them come to me for months at a time. I do what is right for me at the time.

Only tree contacted with me and two were from porno sites and one wanted to chained me to her bad and made sex slave lol.And promise me to not use strapon and things like that but I refused...She was creppy.After this I deleted my real photos here.
