Women choosing men does seem wired in our species. Though it needs a lot of qualification:
1. Same sex partners require creative translation, of course.
2. It's not about whether Doms believe or not. Its whether Doms should fall prey to it. Here's the fairytale thought experiment. An unknown Dom hears music and enters an unfamiliar ballroom of dancing women, who vastly outnumber men. He can surge to the center, where the flambouyant may vie for him. He can sit near the dancefloor, awaiting whoever will lead him in. Or he can roam further out, where the less aggressive predominate. Each group contains beguiling partners. But which offers greatest choice for his ultimate submissive match(s)?
Sadly I spent too damn, dumb much of my Dom life, selecting among women who'd already "chosen me". Seemed good to have the dedication factor already there. But this unwittingly excluded most of the submissive population. Included taking an organic dominant woman as my sub, in which she was complicit by "choosing".
3. Accepting the type women who selects you, can also be hazardous in the vanilla world too. Risk takers seek out enablers. Verbally aggressive women seek passive aggressive men, who spend lives resenting it. Virginia Wolf anyone?
Clearly seekingownertoo didn't suggest accepting, but merely paying a lot of attention. That's why I'm agreeing, but with much warning. He spoke of Doms and vanillas, but his advice was aimed at subs.
