I understood him to say the AK round was real close to the thirty. Which it is.

7.62 but not the nato if I remember correctly

but your original arguement is thrown aside due to power difference and as for the .50cal desert eagle that gun is a stupid thing to buy my dad bought one of those.. and you wouldnt hit shit down range with it is my bet.. id rather be down range of that eagle than a 50 cal rifle anyday or for that matter a five seven.. so your arguement is weak also

rifles are more acurate than pistols duh

this argument has been going on for so many posts I really dont want to take the time to go back and look.

He is right about the bullet weight though.

Personally, of all my rifles, I prefer the civilian version of the bolt action sniper rifle I used, I had it set up the same way. Dont have near the rate of fire as the semi autos, but I get better results when hunting from a stand.

im calling bullshit on your groupings even if you said 20 yards instead of 50.. so youre telling me at half a football field with no scope on a hand cannon.. no nono... just because you hit the target once and it left a 1 inch hole does not mean all the bullets went thru that hole lol.. look im not exactly calling you out but i can see that you are definatley not being totally honest here

I consistently hit gallon jugs at 100 yards with a ruger vacarro .45 lc but I have been shooting since 8 and am 62 so I would have to believe him

round 10 doesn't matter if you finish the job with the first

I have not fired a desert eagle and your belief has no effect on my veracity

well your knowledge of what you speak of has an effect on me believing you.. and i dont know how to answer your five seven pistol question.. it has been considered a marksman pistol for its accuracy but it is a normal very very popular pistol due to it shoots a 5.7x28 and with stock mag holds 20 rounds with aftermarket mag holds 30 rounds

when you say target pistol i imagine the ones used in competitions...which honestly ive never seen for sale in any local stores

When I shoot that monster it usually takes me 10 to 15 minutes to empty a mag, the damn thing bucks so much trying to rapid fire, you can get one round on target and the rest goes who the fuck knows where.

You will have the same problem with the 44 mag desert eagle.

If you take your time shooting, it is a great target pistol, but in a crisis I am going for my 1911 colt.

thank you
most likely didn't notice it because I don't really pay attention to small bore handguns

1911 in my opinion one of if not the best fightimg handguns made

You are aware that under Feinstein's bill, as written that particular pistol may be banned?

In fact one of the pistols that would be banned is the same pistol that she has a concealed carry permit for.

well in that case i cant wait to see what mine is worth afterwards lol.. if the ARs are going to be so valuable that all the gunstores sold out then hopfully people didnt think to buy all the five sevens out too.. so many people bought a crap load of guns just to resell them after the ban

honestly i dont think i could sell mine.. but it would be awsome if i had a banned pistol while most pistols went unbanned it would become mantle piece kind of thing.. maybe get a glass box for it lol

I never had a problem with my .44 mag Desert Eagle with accurate shooting,I hit better with it than my S&W 4506 .45ACP or my S&W Model 27[I am a pretty good sized guy with big hands to grip the Eagle with].I even deer hunted with it and never had a problem with hitting the target at a reasonable range.Even my former 5' 1" 100 pound stepdaughter was very good shooting it,with the weight and action the gun did not kick much more than a hot loaded .357.But I will have to agree that my .45 is a better choice in a low light, self defense mode...the muzzle blast from the 44 Desert Eagle will blind you.I chose the .44 over the .50 due to the cost of ammo[and finding it here] but if I ever decide to up-gun it,I can buy the .50 barrel and clip kit.

The owner of the range seems to think my problem with the 50 desert eagle is age related, same with the 44. Depending on the outside temp and humidity, really seems to affect my shooting of either one. On hot, dry summer days, I have little problems that if I take my time, doesnt matter.

Now my 1911, is in my opinion, a better balanced and weighted pistol. But then I have been shooting the damn thing for about 25 years.

Now to piss off the anti gun people.

My preferred home defense load in the 45 is hydroshocks, or wad cutters. That way even if I hit a limb, they aint going anywhere fast.

Of course all this is IF I get to the intruder before Princess does.

This is here when she was just a youngin.

he could be right.. but the 50 cal desert eagle is pretty much laughed at due to it having so much recoil in the gun community.. there is a huge difference between a 44 and a 50cal especially when all that recoil is in your wrist.. it is truly a hand cannon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKVeJMr-z_4
people who have never shot one really underestimate it

punisher440 -> RE: What do flah suppressors have to do with crime control (1/18/2013 11:10:48 PM)

Well, right now my 4506 has a clip of Gold Dots in it and a second clip loaded with ones that really make the anti's mad...Starfire's.I even have a few boxes of Black Talons in .44 and .45 but I think the Starfires are better...at least my guns like them better.I'm a few years older than you but I am a big fella...6' 4" and 264 to 266 and can shoot the .44 Desert Eagle with one hand and hit well with it at 30 yards with an Aimpoint sight.I can hit farther out using both hands but hunting I never shoot it at over 30 yards.I have no doubt a 1911[my 4506 S&W is much the same] is better balanced and easier to shoot than the Desert Eagle but for hunting and and watching water filled milk jugs blow up,the .44 Desert Eagle wins every time.Besides like a friend of mine once said...if you can't kill whatever you are shooting at with the Desert Eagle,if you can throw it accurately you can sure knock something out with it...[:D]

this video will give you an idea of how a 50ae round from the desert stacks up to other 50cal pistol rounds and just how much bigger it is to a 45
