Really?? you better re check your links the Total Crime shows the US at number #1 with 11, 877, 218 and the UK at #2 with a total of 6,523, 706.

The links are fine, thank you. The detail you fail to realize in citing those numbers is that not all countries are the same size.

Shocking, I know. But honest, it's true.

K.

That is on a per capita bases so it petty much equal...

Nosathro, this is your "per capita" statistical comparison (post #155):

"Then there is the UNDOC report for 2012 that shows the US crime rate at 4.8 per 100, 000 and the UK at 1.2 per 100,000".

It's also the one line in your post Kirata conveniently deleted (post #156) before smugly declaring "The detail you fail to realize in citing those numbers is that not all countries are the same size."

Mate, if you're gonna mess with snakes, you need to know their ways. At the very least, keep your eyes open, cos now you've got a blood-sniffing bandwagon joining in ta boot...!

Focus.

It is so hard to fly with Eagles when you on the ground with the turkeies.

See I did say you were going to say the name. Oh they are just mad at me because I won't give them any of my free passes to Comic-Con, they are just going to have to pay the $175.00...and the better hurry, last year we were sold out in less then 10 minutes.

Oh I wouldn't take one those pills, considering how much Comic-Con put into the government (city, county, state) tresuries. Then there all the employment and overtime employees have, we do alot for the local economy. Not only do other cities try to get us to bring Comic Con to their Convention Facilities, we even have other States trying get us to move to them. So you better just put down your $175.00 as well.

To reach an understanding, one must be tolerant and acceptance, don't see any of those here.

Perhaps they do mathematics differently in California and England.

However the way I learned to calculate such things was that is England with a population of ~60 million, has 6.5 million reported crimes, and the United States, with a population fivefold larger of ~300 million has ~11 million reported crimes, the English have about a threefold greater crime rate per person, assuming the crimes reported are in any way comparable. (If England had the population of the United States, they would presumably have the total crimes reported multiplied by 5 for about 33 million total reported crimes.)

If I were the English, or their supporters in California, I would not boast of this as any accomplishment.

I note that the United States president has also publicly called for a common ground and rational discussions between the US rurales and their legitimate needs for firearms and those of the great urban centers who tire of the misuse of firearms in their areas.
