Aries, I must say, I'm impressed. Your goals are so far beyond me at this point. Don't be too hard on yourself. How is your bulking up going for the job? Do you look all scary strong yet? Do we get to see picture?[:D]

As long as your ok with it being low resolution and
taken in the poorly lit mirror of a foggy bathroom...
Sure! you can have whatever you want sweety.[sm=biggrin.gif]

I have to maintain my air of mystery...[;)]

But as for your questions, I have bulked up slightly
but noticabley however not enough for to be happy
with it yet.
The second job is looming so I have to pull the
finger out!
I don't look particularly scary in my opinion... but I
guess thats in the eye of the beholder.
And, I am noticably stronger, if the small
improvement in appearance so far is indicative of
the strength gain I've achieved so far, I'm really
looking foward to seeing how much strength that
translates into when I'm looking how I want, bulk
wise.

Imp,
I hope you are feeling better!
I'm glad you got antibiotics and were able to do a work out.

Aries,
100 push ups at once?
THAT is a goal. DAMN!
I may do that throughout the day but not all at once. Lol

lovethyself,
I've realized that although routine is nice sometimes being able to adjust is nicer.
Life happens sometimes and you are still making a real effort to work out on a normal basis.

Personally, yesterday I took my son to see Jurassic Park 3D and we went to Z Burgers. It was NOTHING healthy but since I eat healthy on a regular this will not do set me back. Plus, frankly I had an amazing day with the lil man!

The next 3 weeks I have a lot of shoots, for my site and with other producers. So I am going to be adjusting my work outs so I can do both.

I am amazed at how different my body looks in pictures and videos even from this past summer. My entire body looks healthier from my hair to my feet! :)

lovethyself -> RE: Workout (4/10/2013 3:44:20 AM)

Aries,
Looking good (from what I can see [:D]). I had to wait until I could see it on my computer, and not my phone. It looks like you have some nice definition in the shoulder/pecs area.

How much more are you hoping to bulk up?

LilSquaw,
I know I need to be flexible. But I've found I need rules to keep myself on track. I'm still trying to find the rules that work for me. Once I make an exception the first time, it's so much easier to make it the second time, and the third.... So I need to find the guideline rules that work for my schedule and life, and work towards keeping them.

I'm glad that you're happy with your results so far. It's nice to feel healthy.

Before I left for CollarMe to focus on me there was a thread for people who where working out to post updates and encouragements.

Is that thread now necro?

I'm not at all certain but....does it involve exercise?

'Cause if it does....I'm sure I discounted it when it first came out.

ARIES83 -> RE: Workout (4/11/2013 10:48:34 PM)

Lovethyself,
I don't know a bit more. Enough to manhandle
people... [:D]

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Workout (4/12/2013 5:01:06 AM)

lovethyself,
I totally am with you. I am flexible to a point but I am all about routine. Lol I know if I don't work out (for what ever reason) It is easier to find another excuse and another and another. Lol

Lookie,
Yes, it was Biggest Losers or something of that nature and was like this thread in the sense that it was those who are working out, trying to get healthy, lose weight, ect where encouraging one another.

On a personal level, I started my parastroy yesterday.
YIKES. That is brutal and I've learned why I have the cravings for certain things that I do.

Today, I did nothing but legs and cardio.

On Tuesday, I had a 90 min. shoot and I was able to do my normal work out before the shoot. Granted being on the bottom is different since I'm not the one squatting. Lol

My son has discovered he LOVES sardine sandwiches and I've discovered I like a bowl of beans with salsa and sunflower seeds mixed in.

AthenaSurrenders -> RE: Workout (4/12/2013 5:06:49 AM)

*L* sardine sandwiches, that's so cute and retro. I should try my girl with sardines, she loves fish.

I had a setback with my running - I got some support shoes after someone in the running store looked at my gait and recommended them. Huge mistake. Truthfully I was surprised by the recommendation because I had suspicions I needed cushioned shoes. Anyway, I went with the experts and fuck me, I've hurt my arches on the very first run. So that was a huge waste of money. Gone back to the old shoes and after a few days rest I'm off again but very disappointing.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Workout (4/12/2013 5:13:19 AM)

Athena,
He LOVES LOVES LOVES his sardine sandwiches, which is a new discovery for him. One that I obviously am NOT going to complain about b/c it's extremely healthy. Lol

I wouldn't eat it but eh... I don't have to. Lmfcao

I'm sorry to hear about your shoe issue, I remember when I used to run x-country I would always be told to get running shoes and they hurt my feet. Other's found them really comfy, not me though. Granted I'd rather run barefoot or in socks. Lol

If ya can't wear them again.You could always try to sell them to a someone who likes "used" odorise shoes. hehehe

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (4/12/2013 7:24:28 PM)

I'm starting to get back into the swing of my workout, but I'm going slowly. The doctor got the rest of my blood work back and I have mono and low vitamin D levels. I'm trying not to overdo it. I played basketball and went for a run this week and it felt great. I did a bit of weight lifting to get some muscle tone back, but nothing super heavy.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Workout (4/15/2013 4:37:01 AM)

Imp
Yeah, don't over due it and I hope you get over it quickly.

This week is hectic and Thursday, I wont be working out at all because I have an all day shoot. Granted that can be a work out too. Lol

Today, I did my regular work out plus went for a run around the block. (in only socks)
I feel SOOOO good! When I see pictures of me now and pictures of me this summer I am shocked at the difference. Not only in weight loss but skin, hair,feet. All different.

Next month is 1 year since I started this journey to a healthy me.

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (4/15/2013 4:46:48 PM)

I've lost more weight and I think I'm the lowest weight I've been in the last ten years. To be honest with you, I'm probably thinner now than I was in high school. Plus, I have significantly more muscle mass. YAY!

YAY!!!!
That's GREAT to hear Imp.

I am at my lowest weight in the past 10 years as well and I am still loosing / burning fat and gaining tons of muscle.

Yesterday, during my all day shoot. I did a move where I was on the floor bouncing on a suction cup dildo and good gravy I worked every leg muscle and my ass muscles! LOL I told my primary I need to add THAT move to my work out. He laughed at me.

I just finished week 1 of my parastroy.
I have 2 more weeks to go them my yeast defense.

I am taking today off from working out but after a 6 hour shoot yesterday that was VERY physical I need it.

lovethyself -> RE: Workout (4/25/2013 6:04:28 PM)

As long as you can still cross your arms over your chest. [;)] It does no good to trade flexibility for definition.[:)]

Besides, isn't most manhandling about leverage?

lovethyself -> RE: Workout (4/25/2013 6:14:23 PM)

Imp, good for you. I hope you're feeling better by now.

Lilsquaw, I'm curious. What's involved in your parastroy?

As for my workouts, I've been bad. I went a week without working out, partially work, and partially needing a mental break from everything for a couple of days. Then Sir came for the weekend, which was it's own kind of workout. [:D]

I did one on Monday, and I'm still feeling it. I've had some other issues in my house this week, which is fucking with any attempt at routine right now. I'm hoping to get back into it tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

Probably![&o] I need to learn some of that stuff!

Update:
My bike tyres can't handle the roads around here,
third puncture in as many months, all from little
rocks, I've been trying to work the legs and the
cardio by playing football here and there, according
to American Dad, "like kangaroos and rapists, a
wrestlers power comes from their legs."
So legs have been on the agenda for a while, not
sure if they are really progressing too much, I
need to get new bike tyres asap!

I have been very busy with a lot of stuff lately,
mostly work related, but also academic so my
morning workouts have taken a hit...

I really am at my limit with all thats on my plate
right now, the work I've been up to latley is
extremely physical so if I had tried to keep it up
this week, I don't think I would have been able to
make it through the day, so yea very tired atm, I
don't feel too bad about it, definitely will be
burying myself in a heap of workout hours
beginning next week, after next week I don't know
what my schedule will look like so better to cram it
in before then.

Summary, so I've been working on a few things
since the start of the year, The improvements
have been good over a wide range of things, I have
had some injuries that were exercise related, one
was pretty bad, I couldn't even drive my car... but
I was able to recover quick and those stumbles were
more of the "shaking a few kinks out" type, as my
body kinda has adapted to the new loads and
stresses now, I still want more out of myself so this
point I'm at currently is only really a place to take
stock and have a reflect, I'm hungry for more
endurance, more strength, better cardio, faster
acceleration etc so I will keep pushing further, if my
gains and improvement continue as they have I will
be over the moon!

Actually, I'll mention about injuries, I've had a mild
but persistent case of tennis elbow for years, it is
now almost non-existent, that is four months of
careful, structured exercise and a healthy diet and
I have basicly got a brand new elbow! Thats was
pretty unexpected! I kinda like using that arm as a
pillow... I don't think it likes it... [&o]

So I set out not really having a specific goal in
mind, just to improve generally, and on almost all
counts I'm quite happy with myself so far, I would
pat myself on the back if I could still reach it...[:D]

Hope this gives a bit of encouragement to you guys,
It has for me!

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (4/27/2013 6:05:46 AM)

THanks guys.

The last two weeks have been kinda wonky. Crazy things have been happening at our house and of course work. I worked a ton of overtime and for some reason our dogs feel the need to constantly get hurt or sick. We've made about four trips to the vet this month. The husband had some afterwork things he needed to take care of and was working overtime as well. So I think I got in about two good workouts this week. I went for a run on Monday (a short one after putting in some over time) and one last night. The rest of the week consisted of walking the dogs. On the plus side, we've been eating relatively healthy. Except for last night when it was so late that we ended up just grabbing something/anything because we were starving.

MissBlueangel -> RE: Workout (4/28/2013 3:10:05 AM)

Somewhere in this thread I mentioned i was going to start taking Krill Oil.
Its been about 3/4 weeks and i feel a difference.
My knee is definately much less stiff and painful.
Its a lot more expensive than Cod liver oil...but so far so good.
Im impressed

My parastroy is from Nature's Secret.
It creates an unhealthy environment for parasites.
Doing the parastroy and detoxing are things that are recommended that you do 2xs a year.

lovethyself -> RE: Workout (5/6/2013 5:52:04 PM)

I just have to crow for a moment.

[sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif] I'm down one more belt hole!!! [sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif]

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled program.
