Cynthia,
I pre-cook a lot of things.
Hell, what ever possible.
That way I can repackage it and reheat it when I need / want it.
When I precook and freeze things.
I include, what is in the bag, how much of each item (I measure everything) and the calorie break down.

That way when I pull it out, I know exactly what I am getting.

During the summer, when more veggies are available local I wash and chop all of my salad and stir fry stuff and bag it prior to use.
That way I just grab and go.

I admit, when I 1st started eating. I had sticky notes where I would see them periodically so I wouldn't forget to eat. Since THAT was my issue.

Food suggestion, onion and mushrooms together at least 1x per day. There are proven health benifits.

lmpishlilhellcat,

NONE. Of my clothes fit me right anymore.
I finally broke down and bought 2 pair of pants and a new bra a month ago because I literally had nothing to wear that fit. Execpt sun dresses and it is to damn cold for all of that. And I had to have something holding the girls in place. Lol

However, I refuse to go out and buy anymore at this point.

My body is changing so drastically and clothes are expensive.

Yeah I've bought quite a few bras and shirts because my body is changing. Pants I have on a belt they are still on me and baggy. They can wait.

I don't own a belt granted I haven't worn jeans in years. Lol

My son's jeans are huge on him as well.
But I will wait until this summer to get him new ones.
He went from a 44 to 32.
Even with a belt they look like they are going to fall off.

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (2/8/2013 4:14:33 PM)

I bought a new pair of jeans because well I absolutely needed to. I unfortunately don't have much of a butt or hips (never have). I was just built with a lot of chest, as were many of my hungarian ancestors. What's been happening is that the pants are getting even bigger in the hips and butt, but tighter in the thighs. Mostly because I'm toning up. I have to buy juniors pants because they are the only thing that fit my odd shape. I have an odd body all around. My trainer used to note that I put on muscle at the drop of a hat. My body really tends to like building muscle. It's not issue for me. Getting rid of the stuff around my stomach is a whole different issue.

I was a little shocked that the coworker told me to eat. I'm not super skinny by any means. I also know that I never will be super skinny. I have a large bone structure so I know not to hold any expectations that I will ever be a petite lil thang. :P

Baroana -> RE: Workout (2/8/2013 4:17:52 PM)

I had a good workout last night. I wanted to get as much as possible in before the blizzard hit.

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (2/8/2013 4:19:30 PM)

Me too! I hit my stride at three miles and should have kept on going, but I was afraid I was going to get stuck in the storm.

Baroana -> RE: Workout (2/8/2013 4:21:19 PM)

If it doesn't snow through the night, then I'm afraid I will have no excuse not to go to the gym tomorrow morning.

Can you believe one of my cats insisted on being outside today?

Once the sun came out and the roads were plowed it wasn't all that bad here. The sun was so hot on the way home I had to roll down the windows to cool down. But to answer your question.. that's a crazy kitty!!! :)

Baroana -> RE: Workout (2/8/2013 4:30:11 PM)

It's been snowing all day here. No sun. The roads are a mess.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 6:33:49 AM)

I worked out this morning and yesterday in spite of my foot killing me.
I hurt my pinky toe Thursday, and although painful I refuse to let it stop me from doing my work out.

Baroana,
That is one of the many reasons I prefer to work out at home b/c snow or not I have no excuse. Lol

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 8:12:42 AM)

I fell and slipped on the ice and my arm and shoulder are killing me! I went ahead and did some time on the treadmill. It wasn't the workout I had planned on doing and I was really disappointed. I was so looking forward to a nice kickboxing workout.

It's amazing to me how much my eating habits have changed and how much I miss a good workout when I don't get one. Even on days when I think I'm cheating I still manage to stay within my calories. Even if I do go over it's reasonable(100-200). One of my coworkers from Africa said, you are looking fit! It made me feel really good! My grandma said today, I don't know why you are trying to lose weight you look fine. Which irked me a bit. How come people can't just be supportive of a healthy lifestyle? I find a nice supportive base in the people that are trying to achieve the same goal as I am, but I'm finding a lot more critical people than I thought I would.

We have an in home gym and one at my workplace. I really have no excuse to not workout. I love that I'm held accountable. I can't make excuses. :P

Baroana -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 8:15:12 AM)

Oh no!!!!! [sm=whoa.gif]

Get better!!!! [sm=line.gif]

lmpishlilhellcat -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 8:16:23 AM)

Thanks!!!!! [:)]

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 9:00:16 AM)

EEEKKSS!

I hope you're okay Imp.

I admit, if I don't work out I feel like utter dog shit.

How come people can't just be supportive of a healthy lifestyle?

I think that it happens for a few reasons. I have encountered it a lot since May. I've learned it's NEVER about me, but them. I've honestly cut out a lot of people who liked me over weight, who liked the unhealthy me and not only couldn't be supportive but tried to sabotage me.

Baroana -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 11:49:24 AM)

By the way, am I the only one here who can't stand Jillian Michaels?

Who's Jillian Michaels?
Seriously I don't give her much thought either way.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Workout (2/9/2013 12:45:10 PM)

She is a bitchy trainer on "The Biggest Loser". She believes in degrading peoples self esteem.

Oh, I know who she is.
I just don't give her or her style much thought.
I am sure it works for some.
For me, well it's just gonna get you a fist in the face. lol

I don't mind the drill sergeant approach, but I think that is different than what she does.

Could be, as I have never watched her much.
