ORIGINAL: erieangel That argument doesn't fit the story of the rabbit hugging and taking pictures with other kids at the time the black kids were ignored. As for the claim that there will some monetary civil award, etc. My son recently was accused of shop lifting at a Walmart (he wasn't). The night manager just got his panties in a bunch when my son refused to pay for a jeans ripped when he tried them on. After half an hour in hand cuffs, which were removed when the state police, a trooper who actually knows my son, arrived. The manager was mean, nasty and belligerent for 2 hours. The next day, my son contacted corporate headquarters and within 30 minutes he got a call from a district manager who apologized to him and told him that both the night manager and the store manager were being let go (it seems the store manager hired his unqualified brother-in-law as night manager, which was against the rules). My son and I both would have preferred a public apology, but he's happy with the results. Neither of us shop at Walmart often, but we will both run in there for small things once in while. This incident reminded him why we never buy clothes there. What exactly does that have to do with a monetary award from a civil suit? In your analogy, your son would have taken the free tickets or the $500 from Disney and been done with the matter.
