I think the problem the OP is stating is not so much about size, but more about the lack of finesse that some men have to mention the word "plump".

It is the same as someone saying, I love redheads, short women, older women, skinny women, fat women, big boobs, small boobs, big ass, no ass, etc. etc.

No one wants to be addressed by a physical attribute. Just the fact that someone is contacting you or wants to speak with you, should suffice. I get very annoyed when someone writes me and says, Oh I LOVE BBW's, so let's chat.

It has nothing to do with my issues, it has to do with that being an idiotic way to contact me. Just say, hi, love your profile/photos, let's chat.

It is assumed you must like that since you wrote me in the first place. I don't need a caveat as to why you wrote.

One reason i put my true weight in my profile was... because i didn't want to contact asshats who hated fat women. My sweetie doesn't love fat women or thin women or svelte women. Weight doesn't enter his thinking on women. He loves me for my personality and my sexualilty and my intelligence - weight is irrelevent.

For me that ONE man is the important one for me. If he feels I need to lose weight (which I knew and agree with because I hated it as much as him), then I lose the weight. So yeah, that one man, his thoughts mean everything to me.

I'm just curious....what if he wanted you to lose the weight and you felt that you looked good and were comfortable with your weight?

I would lose the weight. It's not a big deal to me. But thankfully we both like me at around 100 to 105 which is where I was when I first met him.

I would never write with a simple "I like your profile", but I would also never write to anyone because they happen to have a specific hair color, body type, etc. Instead, I'll try to ask for something more about a specific thing which I like that she mentioned her profile. I really have no interest in messaging every woman with a profile and seeing who happens to bite on the spam.

What about your back? I gotta think an extry 25 carried that high would mess thing up, no?

And I do agree with the view that lifestyle and (out)look or feel(ings) matter much more than the numbers themselves.

I will chime in with YES big boobs are hard on your back. They also prevent snowboarding because top heavy means you spend the day on your face

I used to have to buy "husky" sized pants as a kid. Hated it.

Me too!

I don't think they even call them that anymore, do they?

Hated it! [8D]

No. Now the term used is "relaxed fit"

FR,

When I was in the military I was not plump at 160#. I was close to 5'7" then. Am closer to 5'6" now. I have a large frame and big wrists and feet.

These days, I do refer to myself as "pleasantly plump."

The ultimate in "relaxed fit", sweat pants blue jeans.

The problem also arose from the context of the conversation. He was stating that he likes to be trampled, and then he told a story about the ex. He made it seem like at 140 she was tipping the scales with regard to the weight limit for that particular amusement park ride.

If that kind of talk wouldn't make you ladies self-conscious, then you are better doms than I.

changingGear -> RE: Sorry, I just have to vent! (Warning: Weight Thread) (2/12/2013 2:14:18 PM)

I think the guy is lacking finesse, but plump is a relative term. I don't even find it particularly offensive, but I know better than to refer to anyone as it unless I knew them well enough.

As for people reacting that 140 isn't fat, it can be. If you are 5"2 or shorter it puts you in the overweight category according to your bmi. That isn't to mean it makes a person ugly, just that in all likelihood they are an unhealthy weight. It is possible to be physically fit and show an unhealthy BMI, but once you get to that point you tend to be measuring bodyfat and lean body mass and ignore BMI altogether.

littlewonder -> RE: Sorry, I just have to vent! (Warning: Weight Thread) (2/12/2013 2:41:23 PM)

Was the guy really skinny and small? If so then for him, it would have been maybe too much weight on him. So really, the context of the conversation is something I would have taken into account.
