ORIGINAL: TheLilSquaw jlf You may not enjoy this series but many myself included do. I happen to think the comics are better than the series but the series is still good IMO. That being said, I often say that society already has zombies. The people who are the walking dead and simply go through the motions. I have watched a few episodes, and I agree it is well done. But, you must remember I am an old geezer type critter who has seen more zombie movies, and remakes of zombie movies, and remakes of the remakes that I have been zombied out. The truth is that I have never seen a "horror" themed series that can stay original for more than two or three seasons. And I am taking into consideration the original Dark Shadows, Angel, Buffy, and charmed. However, I will say that "The Walking Dead" seems to be, according to the critics, highly acclaimed and seems to be doing well. It is better than the large number of "reality" tv shows presently occupying the network prime time slots. It would be different if the premise of the series was trying to find a cure of the cause of people turning into zombies. Please do not think that I am trying to insult people who watch and enjoy the show, that is not my intention. I would just like to see a change in the horror genre altogether. Granted, being in my fifties really does ruin most shows on tv today. I can pretty much determine who, what, where and how halfway through the show and then get bored. The basic plot is always the same, and any show that tries something new is panned by the critics and cancelled.
