Hmm I did not think about this being a TOS violation when I posted it. I did not have much time at that moment. Since it is, would one of the Mods please remove this post?

Thank you for your opinions. After reading them and rereading the email exchange, I was in the wrong and owe her an apology as such.

Apparently, I am rustier than I thought. I have not been new sub hunting in a few years. Thank you all for clarifying my misstep.

I did not intentionally make any claim that she was mine in any way, though in hindsight, I can see how it got interpreted that way.

Ya, it sucks being wrong. My quote is apt today. ~sigh~

Did you read the TOS and forum guidelines?

Just curious.

I actually hope they don't remove the thread but the email.
*shrugs*

I hope they don't remove it. I hope that they just remove her name and leave the rest so that others can learn something from this post.

That would be a good move.

Yes, I read the guidelines... quite a long time ago. They were not exactly at the forefront of my mind today, apparently.

Edit: Left out what would be a good move.

Just because somebody selected the word "submissive" in describing their orientation doesn't mean
they're on the bottom whenever somebody messages them. If they aren't on the bottom, then they
can't top from the bottom.

I think I love you. If you don't mind, that is.

OP, although it is clear you made a faux pas, and were soundly corrected by so many, I appreciate you had the ability to own your mistakes, and receive their opinions in such a gracious manner.

~FRing it~

I agree with Duskypearls. I think you handled it quite well and I know I for one like seeing people take personal responsibility for their actions. You could have been a total douchebag about it, but you instead realized that you did the wrong thing and figured out what the appropriate course of action would be.

I too hope that the Mods only remove the other person's name from the post, but keep the thread here because I think that its a good thing to be able to read.

FR~

I'm not going to comment on whether you were right or wrong... everyone else has done that already.

I would like to point out... I looked at her profile, and saw that she has quite a few usernames listed in her journal entries...as "fakes".."scammers".. etc. Is it possible that the OP saw that and thought it wasn't against TOS to post a username?

Regardless, it's great that you're owning up to your mistake. Bravo.

Allie

And now that I have deleted her name, I do not remember it to go clean up her journal entries

I'm going to try to tread lightly here because the OP has been so great about accepting what has been said.

Many Doms think that they get to determine how a conversation happens, get to demand respect or think that they're the exception to what the submissive has listed as their requirements. That's not the case, and both side of the kneel need to remember that.

Seriously, I had to tell someone that the content of his email to me was inappropriate. His response was that it's a kink site and I'm a submissive. So, I fired back, "So, you'd be okay with someone saying that to YOUR wife/submissive?" Then he understood.

LOL osade, that must have been a different thread than the one who publically attempted that.

As much as I dislike being wrong, being an ass about it just adds to mistake. I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again. Hopefully not for a while.
