add just a pinch of nutmeg to your kale...you will be amazed!

TY for this tip/

Nutmeg used to be brought out from the back of the shelf only during the Holidays. These days I'm using it more and more.

Get a whole nut nd grind it yourself. The difference is amazing.

Although do be careful nutmeg is a psychoactive in high enough amounts.

You would have to actually ingest 5-15 grams for that to happen though...that's anywhere from 1-3 whole nuts. Short of ingesting an entire bottle at once, I don't think one needs to be concerned.

I'm going to put this out there - when I was in high school, some of my friends and I heard about the supposed psychoactive properties of nutmeg and decide to try it. You literally need to eat at least a tablespoon of it. It's really nasty. And it doesn't do a whole lot. It gave me a very mild hallucination (just swirly lights), and also a stomachache.

I heard somewhere women eat right about 4 pounds of food a day, so snacking on fruits and veggies is a good idea.

re: the egg cooking question, I used to make breakfast sandwiches, I poached them in the microwave in one of those poaching thingies, doesn't take much longer than it takes the bread to toast.

Now I usually drink a whey protein smoothie, with mixed berries and almonds.

But I'm trying to gain weight.

This reminds me of the Cinnamon Challenge. When my daughter was in high school, she and her friends would do this challenge where everyone had to stick a spoonful of cinnamon in their mouths. The last one to vomit, won. [:'(]

When I found out, I was so pissed at her. Didn't seem to matter to her. They continued to do it while not at our home and they would videotape it. Yeah, they would do all kinds of gross challenges....the Capri Sun Challenge, the Egg Challenge and who knows what else. Video cameras on iphones are just soooo very wrong sometimes!

I'll fess up, it was my birthday party today and I prepared my own dinner (wife bought the ingredients and I love to cook.)     It was OMG unhealthy......

Swiss cheese fondue with key lime pie for desert.

I'm a severe diabetic who normally eats very light and very healthy, this meal was more calories than I typically do in an entire day.    Blood sugar after the meal was 543.........normal blood sugar levels are 90 to 125.    But it was soooooooooooooo good!!!!!
