I don't feel like cooking, plus we don't really have anything to cook, and I am super hungry. Normally I'd just call up daddy and have him go get something fast foody, but I am trying to be more responsible than that and stop eating out, or stop eating out but for the rare occasion.

It's awfully tempting though.

I ate a small yogurt an apple and some chicken though. I did not cave to fast food or junk.,

I just keep telling myself it'll be easier. And as we get more food that is readily eatable or requires very minimal cooking, it will. I know rationally change doesn't happen over night magically.

It gets so much easier. I struggled for awhile. So much that I literally had to make sure we didn't have sugar, sweets, and snacks in the house. Luckily for me I had someone supportive who understand and went on that journey with me. Now if he wants to eat unhealthy, he can bring that home(instead of eating it in the car) and I feel no temptation whatsoever. I just make myself something else. It's gotten to the point where we had KFC and it literally made me sick to my stomach. I just feel ill. I can't handle the grease or fat content. If you eat veggies like broccoli and cauliflower you will feel more full. In addition drinking lots of water helps. If I get a late night sugar craving I go brush my teeth and it kills the urge. Sometimes though I break down and I also allow myself a cheat day. On those days I workout a bit harder and eat a few meals a little it lighter. Plus, they are making frozen greek yogurt that come in chocolate and strawberry flavors and they are yummy, sweet, and super low in calories and fat.

I know what you mean. I stopped eating certain things, and if I went back to trying to eat it, it made me sick.

I have been drinking tons of water. I have never had to pee so bad/ so frequently/ so much lol.

I've lost 24 pounds since September, eating small, frequent low carb meals.  I keep fresh veggies at hand for those 'snack attacts' at night and drink lots of water.
Yesteray at work I had a piece of chocolate--figured one piece wouldn't be THAT bad.........coughed and choked cuz the sugar burned my throat!
It does get easier, keep up the good work!

How much do you like salads? One trick I've learned was to keep salad in the fridge at all times as it's quick and easy to throw together. I use a salad spinner and it stays very fresh n crispy for days. I keep some ham and feta cheese on hand to add some zing along with protein. Salads are also a healthy way to do fast food and most places carry good salads.

Another good snack is to take a water pitcher and keep celery sticks/carrot sticks in some water in the fridge. Another quick and easy snack.

I go to one of those awesome warehouse type stores and buy a big thing of salad greens for $4 and it lasts me for aeons. When I'm feeling snacky, I'll usually opt for that. It's easy, tasty, fast, and it won't hurt anything. =p Also, I like crinkle-cut carrot chips. they're super quick, also yummy, and portable.

I use no-salt vegetable seasoning, or garlic pepper is good too (although that has some salt in it)

I like vinegar and oil myself.  The vinegar helps regulate blood sugars (a big one for diabetics like me, but good for all) and shaking it with oil gets it to stick to the lettuce.

I'm not sure if it's good for losing weight or
whatever your trying to do, but I find eating
strawberries is a good replacement for sweets.

I could eat them all day if I had that sort of
money, they are pretty expensive here if you
want large quantities but I can't eat too many
grapes even though they are cheap here
because they give me acid reflux.
So strawberries it is, mmmmmmmmmm yum.

Another thing I eat is home made pizzas, but
I use all basic healthy ingredients without all
the greasiness that you get with ordered pizzas.

Get a nice thin base, I just use tomato paste
with a few herbs and spices mixed in, then chop
up a few cherry tomatoes, slice up some salami
super thin, a couple of anchovies, instead of
onion I have shallots growing in my herb garden
so I use one of those, slice up some cheese
super thin, that's it.

Super healthy home made pizza that fills tha
fast food craving but without the guiltiness.

If I am hungry and want a big ol' plate of food (you know what I mean...when you want to sit down in front of bad TV and eat for an hour - we've all done it, right? ....right?) Make a big, fluffy egg white omelet. Egg whites themselves are so low in calories. Add in some vegetables, some protein and just a touch of cheese, and pair it with a whole wheat English muffin if you're feeling extra decadent. I can never get enough of that, and the omelets allow for enough variety that you can change up what you're eating without messing with the actual fat and calorie count too much. (As long as you don't cook it in butter. :) Feta, spinach, and turkey is one of my favorites.

Well, I am living mainly on my fruit and vegetable juices since 7th of january....and it works for me and I love my fridge being full of all that healthy stuff....I lost now 4kg during the last 5 weeks as I still have some days where I have way too much chocolate within reach, but it gets easier now to avoid them....

I know some people who live only on those juices for some days but for me thats rarely the case, so I still have 1-2 small meals per day but enjoy filling my body with the nutrition only raw food can provide

But then....I am these days a juice addict in that respect so nothing surprising

Next time, sautee your chicken with cooked rice, apple (or raisin) bits, a few drops of honey and mushroom. It takes like five minutes and tastes amazing. Also very filling if you use brown rice.

I make more food then we can eat then get some freezer bags and make homemade frozen ready to eat food. Grilling a lot of hamburgers and freezing them is great. It only takes a minute or two to heat them up. I made a huge pan of lasagna and froze individual serving sizes. I think it takes 3 to 4 minutes to get it good and hot.

I make egg cupcakes.

Scrambled eggs with cheese, broccoli and mushrooms in a cupcake pan. Bake them. Then throw them in ziplock baggies in the freezer. Then when I'm on the go, I just toss them in the microwave to re-heat.

You can do the same thing with egg white sandwiches on english muffins! I use that idea for work.

I love homemade Kale chips. I love kale in general, but kale chips yummy! They are high in iron, low in calories, and they definitely satisfy that salty craving for me.

I am eating a banana, even though I have 49 cases (that means 588 boxes) of Girl Scout cookies in the house.

....A banana.

Sigh....

I don't usually cook myself meals and snack all day long, so I keep all sorts of snacks handy. Helps avoid cravings, binges, and at dinner time.
Usually I'm munching on baby carrots, almonds, Swiss cheese, meats including loose lunch meat, fruits (grapefruits help me when I have a sweet-tooth), yogurt...
After a few weeks, it does get so much easier. For me, fast food now tastes like cardboard and is difficult to swallow down.

How do you make the kale chips? I've been wanting to use kale more and only have 1 recipe I currently use it in.
