that's a good flash back...thought 4 sure u were going to say reminded u of last night! lol

*chuckles* Nope, I've been known to drool on Carol but not spit. There's the occasional biting and whatnot which also inevitably results in some saliva being left over. But so far the urge to hock a loogey at her hasn't cropped up. Heh, that's probably a good thing since I'm not much into humiliation and I doubt she'd perceive it as humiliating even if I did. She'd probably chalk it up as one more weird, inexplicable thing that is vaguely annoying but seems to make the guy she loves happy.

I'm sorry I do not agree.

You may disagree all you want. The question is a legal one and more open to interpretation by judges, DA's and juries than it is "personal opinion".

My own personal opinion is that being female does not make it OK to engage in assault & battery. Nor can I really consider this a "self defense" moment".

Since most jurisdictions now consider spitting on someone to be assault, then yes it is a self defense moment. This is not a case of two people in a kinky relationship, and that is important to remember.

It is not that much different from some stranger on the street deciding to spit on you.

The answer to the "legal" question is left to police involvement, and as I said, since he committed assault, she was defending herself.

Anyone who "hocks a loogy" on someone outside of a kink setting and then calls the cops for the response would be an idiot. It also would not likely be something that ever saw a jury.

1/ Bozo is unlikely to mention his smooth move to anyone. And even more unlikely to mention getting punched. There is no upside for him.

2/ There is nothing about your reaction to regret. On the contrary. You did well.

If that's all that's bothering you, consider what you would be feeling if you hadn't hit back. That would be much worse. Wouldn't it?
