Dude, if Quentin Tarantino can be a huge perv who blatantly uses his movies to feed his foot fetish (seriously, watch his stuff and see how often there's unnecessary scenes of a woman with bare feet walking slowly down a hallway or some shit), I have no clue why you'd think being outed in the "Entertainment" field would be such a bad thing. But, whatever floats your boat.

For me I cannot not be what I am so I could never "leave" my sexuality. It would be like a gay man trying to convert to being straight. If I've stopped being in a D/s relationship I do miss the control for a few months and then you just adapt to not having it until the next relationship comes along, but nothing changes about how I am inside so nothing is "left".
